I really like Republic but will admit it's not their strongest album.
Regret, Ruined In A Day, Everyone Everywhere, Special and Avalanche (great closer) are all fine tunes that will stand the test of time. World and Spooky suffer from flat sounding album mixes but come into their own in remixed form on the CD singles; the brooding mix of World by Brothers In Rhythm is fantastic as is the Spooky Minimix.
Liar, Young Offender etc. the middle of the album is gash :(
Much prefer it over Movement any day but that's just me.

I've always hated the Republic era artwork. Looks like some cunt put it together in ten seconds. Suppose it was appropriate
