Different JD tune each gig?

I can't believe that some people start complaining about the set-list after only ONE show. I mean, they played DIGITAL and BRUTAL, for christs sake! How more surprising can you get?

Anyway, the point I wanted to make is that maybe for the upcoming gigs they'll throw in a different Joy Division song every night, starting with Digital in Paris. Remember Peter Hook talking about doing a full JD-set? Perhaps they rehearsed a couple of 'em and instead of doing that full set, NO treat every audience with a one-off (OR MAYBE EVEN TWO SINCE THEY PLAYED SLC AS WELL).

The other option is of course that mr.Sumner got tired of rehearsing after only one song...

Cheers, Lt.

Would be nice if they would, but I can't see it happening. Just a little change around would be nice, mind. Perhaps swap Transmish and LWTUA around the way did in Glasgee last year, then replace, I dunno, She's Lost Control with Isolation at another gig? I'm not expecting miracles, but the odd track swapped in / swapped out would keep us hankering for more.. .

Have they still not got Love Vigilantes, Confusion and Paradise programmed from the '98 gigs and last year?

Confusion instead of Close Range, LV instead of Rock the Shack, Paradise instead of Brutal.

Lovely and simple.

Paradise instead of BLT would be better considering youre the only lucky beggars to ever hear Brutal live

Hi BRENDAN this is a brilliant song and i think one of the ones i would most like to hear again live.Vanishing Point is another i think is tremendous live. The trouble is the more you see them the higher your expectations become.

Yeah it is a great song. Barney warned at the beginning of it that they might screw it up since they hadn't played it for awhile. I have the recording on cassette, hoping to transfer it to CD someday ...
