On ABC2 next week we get this: Live in NYC

Is this a commonly broadcast show? I notice Nic has some of this up on You Tube so I guess I missed it first time around.

Yes - please record - as I don't get ABC2. I'll pay for a copy on DVD.

Let me know if you can...

Just recently won a preloved Conia STB off eBay. V.happy, paid less than $40 for it including postage. Looking forward to seeing the gig on local TV.

thanks for the heads up...i used to check ABC2 programs frequently when i just bought my set-up box last year.

Dont worry, u guys, I bet they will be showing this again and again for the next 12 months. You see there will be 2 repeats in the same week...and I bet they will have another round of repeats in 6 months time and then again in the next 6 months.

I remember I was getting the same concerts (Sonic Youth, Bloc Party, Placebo, Franz Ferdinand, etc.) live at Eurokennes France on ABC2 channel like 9 times throughout last year. I got all these burnt on DVDs now.

Got the STB/PVR primed. It will do the rounds again soon, no doubt.

Are they song lyrics scrolling on the screens in front of Bernard (Stephen has one in front of him too).

Yep, he's looking down at them from time to time. I suppose it must be hard to remember all the words from over the decades.

he's had an auto cue for a while now.

Now I've lost what I thought was a lyric monitor in front of Stephen, my mistake.

Well, what can I say.

It's not a terribly exciting stage show, Bernard's looking out of shape and old, as is Hooky. They (the band) looked like they endured the concert, not enjoyed it. Oh well. Good to see such a recent concert none the less, even if it was on TV.

Can one of you lovely people give me a track list so I can see if it differs any to what was shown in the UK last year. Ta.

I thought it differed a bit to what I already have on dvd. I didn't take down the song list as I was enjoying it and multitasking.

I will try and make a comparison later.

Sorry for going on so much about this guys, but to my knowledge this is the first time a full new order gig was shown on reasonably mainstream tv here in oz.

Full track list from last night's broadcast:

Love vigilantes Crystal Regret Hey now what you doing Krafty Transmission True Faith Run Wild Jestream Waiting for the Siren's Call Bizarre Love Triangle Love will tear us apart Temptation She's lost control Atmosphere Blue Monday

(Love will tear us apart - over end credits)

Not sure if that differs from the DVDs that other folks have; but hope that helps, Clive.

Far from the best performance I've seen from them, but good sound quality I suppose. LWTUA had Barney barking "faster!" instead of "C'mon!", and the delivery of the lyrics in this was frankly awful. Steve looked well annoyed at the end of the track as well, particularly whern Barn says "That was LWTUA crossed with Anarchy in the UK".

The version I have of the show on DVD is missing BLT and WFTSC!

Maybe someone will put them up?

Nice - two extra tracks, the full gig in fact!

Can anyone send me a copy?

They are repeating it right now. :)

I would appreciate a good quality copy also if someone could be so kind, can trade or send a payment.

My copy is a little grainy, Sol (VCR recording, soon to be converted to DVD), but you are very welcome to a copy once I do the conversion - I think I owe you one by now!

I'll try to get a better quality recording when it's repeated on Sunday at 11.00am - must remember to not record on long-play this time.

Surely one of us can record straight to DVD? The broadcast quality on ABC2 is excellent. But I've only got a PVR for TV recordings.

Alan William Henery has the equipment if his posts on page 1 are anything to go by.

Hey you guys....I recorded it that night directly into DVD, so just email me your addys....btw, I owed u a big favor, sol, i think it was u who sent me those DVDs last year? 2 years ago?

To be honest guys, I nearly fell asleep that night watching that gig....after 20 mins I nearly nod off, luckily for TRANSMISSION which jolted me back..lol. The second half was better & more energetic, which makes me think that NO's newer songs dont work that well in concerts, even classics like KRAFTY or WFTSC. I thought that female backing vocals audible in RUN WILD at the end choruses was a bit off-putting, kinda reminded me I'm watching the NEW ORDER KARAOKE show....duh! And I thought some of the LWTUA verses by Barney was more like LL COOL J vs JD rather than ANARCHY meets LWTUA!

Nevertheless, like NOOLigan mention, def a rare & special moment to be able to watch NO in action on our local TV...and I will still buy the DVD if it gets official release.
