Now that the band is finished do you think the songs that were for the next album will ever see the light of day? ("that californian grass one" I seem to remember Hooky saying)

Also, what about some kind of clearing out the vaults style box set crammed full of rarities to finish things off?

Do we really want leftovers from WFTSC? Be careful for what you wish for.

I´d wish left overs from WFTSC

personally i'd like to hear anything they did... considering some of the songs that didn't make it onto get ready are fucking excellent!

well you do have a point there!!! I guess artists aren't always the best judge of their own work.

I would think that the leftovers should be their grande finale, their final opus, in a sense. Probably worth hearing. And we can't forget the 'CONTROL' music they noted about.

:nervous: what!? :shine:

Well i can see what your saying, but I don't think 'leftovers' should be considered their final opus. Mind you, that they had reasons to let these tracks go to the scrap heap.

Well...

When they 'split' back in '93, they released the best and the rest. So now they have 'split' again, what's next???

? - (the worst of) NewOrder

Indeed!

a couple will be put on an American Single Comp, than a couple on an international boxset, then a couple on a remastered version of WFTSC 10 years from now, and another one soundtrack to their greatest hits video collection:laugh:

Some how I really think it won't come out in one collection, but making you purchase too many more comps...

They ought to give as least a rareities release,or even better, an exclusive release for noolers after all we all come here day after day talking about new order, how about THEM giving something back to the TRUE fans.

P.S, would still like to hear the leftover tracks tho!:thumb:

I read somewhere that there were 7 songs that were "left-overs" over WFTSC. That would be perfect for an EP. The title of the EP?

Restored from Recycle Bin!

If there were any songs that were good wouldn't they have been itching to play them at some of the 2005/2006 gigs?

Nah, too much hassle getting the lyrics onto the autocue... :evil4:

Are these the same songs that the band dropped for sounding too much like Killers? Or are they 2 separate issues?

Personally Id like to hear anything the band hasnt put out yet (even Peter Beardsleys world in motion rappin).

Oh fuck off with these 'other songs' if Dracuntlas Cast-off made the album the 'lost' tracks must be fucking shite.

And as for a compilation, London Warners & New Order can shove it up their arse, along with Peter "i haven't had a decent idea since Republic" Savilles white sleeve.

No, but we must have had about 100 threads since WFTSC was released about this, and its just boring. :)

Hear hear.

Why do people think the tracks were "leftover"? It was because they weren't good enough to make the final cut! And if Dracula's Castle or that cod-reggae one whose name I forget were deemed good enough then who the fuck wants to hear anything worse!!!!

I don't even own WFTSC. I've got all the tracks as MP3's from Soulseek but I never went out and actually bought it.

I can't wait for the left overs, We already know 4 out of the seven songs already

1 Sugarcane 2 Stay with me 3 Madonna 4 Brothers and sisters 5 ????? 6 ?????? 7 ???????

Let's hope the leftover's are good also, I heard peter hook say that Stay with me was a classic new order sounding song.

I must admit its the only New Order album I havent bought. Mainly as I hate the cover.

So Sabatage, Player In The League and Dont Do It are all crap are they?

NO aren't finished, just going thru one of their perennial moody Manc sulks.

Stop being so ruddy fatalistic.

Steve and Hooky both mentioned songs they liked that were being kept for a future release. As for not buying the album... :nonono:

Just a thought , if new order breaks up all of their glory will be gone, no one is gonna go see them live as solo artists. They might get fans here and there but not in thousands as they get in New Order shows they will lose their mass fan base that comes to see new order. If they go solo then seeing them play NO songs will not be fun at all, and worst of all Peter Hook's solo band could never do NO or JD maybe Barney could pull it off because he sings in concerts, so it they go solo they will lose tons of money and their massive fan base.

hey! Hey!! HEY!!!

Don't Do It aint crap! It's even more popular than it's A-side, at least, here in the Philippines. Don't Do It burned the dancefloors here during its time.
