Rubbish!

They will go down in history as the band that got the furthest by putting in the least effort possible. They were completely out of their brains for most of the 25 years, made absolutely no effort to look after one another or even stay friends, pissed about on stage, overspent on every album they managed to produce (managing an amazingly small number of records for such a long career) and generally took the piss out of all of us. And don’t confuse their refusal to do interviews, videos or even proper photo shoots with coolness – they are just lazy!

To add insult to injury, they cap it all with a five-year burst of high activity (for them) where they crap all over their legacy by raping the back catalogue for a dozen of best-ofs, messing around with the line-up, employing a guitarist who was no more than a boy, alienating anyone not from England with a football song and ruining the sanctity of themselves and Glastonbury by appearing on stage with a pantomime horse.

And people ask me why I love them so much.
