Just makes me wonder.

To which I respond:

If Mr. 'Yer into gay disco, Barney' was still with us, probably not.

 Just a thought.

Who knows. it is a bit of a pointless question. Last time it took five long years even with Rob trying.

hasn't this already been covered in the other thread?

Ad nauseim.

Does anyone have any actual evidence that Rob told the band what to do at any time?

The impression I have is that he defended their freedom to do what they wanted, and then took the piss out of them whatever they did.

I'd be prepared to be corrected by anyone who, you know, actually knows what they're on about.

Feel free to idolise him as some sort of god of cool who was the only reason for anything being any good ever. I personally think that's a bag of shit, but you know me; always happy to listen to someone elses opinion.

Wasn't Rob their manager between 1993 and 1998? :confused2:

Didn't Hooky threaten to leave New Order in 1982'ish?! And wanted to join Stockholm Monsters instead because he was getting increasingly annoyed with Barney's on-stage 'antics'?!

How do I remember this? In a time before t'internet when New Order weren't really giving interviews?

And why didn't Rob keep a lid on this at the time?! :skeptic:

Totally forgot about this. And I missed it in the other thread, sorry about that one.

As far as Rob goes I have no idea what he was like. I was just looking to see what others may or may not know about what he may have done.

If i was managing this band i would pulled an Eric Cartman by now ... Screw you guys, I'm going home.

Ok, you've convinced me about Rob. Anyway, what was Barney's on-stage 'antics' about?

This is the last straw. Now what, we're calling out dead people to help New Order? That's crazy.

not much different from the interminable questions like "WOULD NEW ORDER HAVE MADE CACK LIKE RUN WILD IF IAN CURTIS HADN'T BEEN A HUGE PUSSY?"
