Do we want to get 'Hey now What you Doing' into the (UK & Irish) Charts?

Well, with 'Road to ruin' appearing regularly on the Indesit adverts we COULD put a bit of time & effort into promoting it ourselves.

I mean the simple stuff - start off with emails/texts to various radio stations looking for 'that song off the ad' or 'that NO song off the ad' to be followed later with 'HNWYD - the song on th Indesit ad' Then, when it has been played other texts asking to hear it again etc. All we need is access from different phones & email addresses.

Then, how many of us would be willing to download it to try to boost/invent the chart position??? I'd buy it a few times anyway.

Also, who has access to NO's management? we could mention that it would be worthwhile getting a CD single in the shops too (?)

The way i see it, its one of the best tracks off WFTSC, its radio-friendly, & its already on TV

so, not desperate, just opportunistic IMHO

Plus, i believe this kind of thing has been done before by fans of other bands & we all know that record companies were notorious for buying up their own singles to ensure high chart placings (i think Paul wellar's dad used to organise huge buys of TheJam singles to ensure they got to No.1 ?)

There is a certain irony that Road to Ruin is getting a lot of TV play right at the time when they have just turned off the last exit on that very road!

I reckon their management is more busy with other stuff now. And it's not even the management, it's WarnerBros who decide, and they sure wrote the album off already.

We should waste our money on the JD reissues instead...

No, i'm not totally against it. I just prefer something different like Temptation, or the 'secondary singles' TPK or TLU.

Also, I can't imagine Hey Now What You Doing having 10 versions!

I don't actually think these campaigns work unless you've got a Radio 1 DJ behind it (like Chris Moyles and that Billie track). Didn't Morrissey fans try it with "Life is a Pigsty" and that bombed.
