I read about this in Kevin's interview with the Sunday Observer at the weekend.

So, have I got this right.... there's 26 really rare copies going for £500 and 200 copies going for £200.

Well I don't stand a chance in getting hold of that, now do I ? Is this all he's releasing ? I'd gladly part with as much as £30 for a nice big arty photo book but I'm not stupid when the mortgage needs paying and have you seen the price of petrol these days?!?

At that price only if Waitrose are knocking them out cheap!

I'm having one - if there's only 226 going to be available they are going to rocket in value.

Anyone know which picture is on the print with the £500 version (although they're probably already sold anyway)

It's nice amd I'd love to have it. But again these arty heads make products for fat rich guys. I mean, it's not a book made out of Versace fabric... It's about a punk rock band, for god's sake. :(

Maybe I'm just that poor. But I managed to get Peter Saville book.

I've got quite a few 1st editions. The only way they rocket up in value is if they are in minty mint condition. 'unread' won't cut it - they really have to be 'unopened' to be worth top money.

And the author has to die.

I'm sure there will be 'normal' editions of this book too.

Saville's was availabe in the rarer hessian-bound edition and the normal white edition.

The signed 1st edition is just a way to get a little bit more earnings out of the book, although I'm sure the publishers have some lovely ine about it 'giving the fans the oportunity to own something special'.

That would be A. The 26 lettered editions would be numbered A-Z.

200 numbered editions 1 - 200.

Then the normal ones for the poor

Wasn't this due out several years back alongside a similar one of New Order pics that was listed as "forthcoming" on Amazon for about 18 months? I guess Cummins heard about 'Control' and did the sensible thing and stalled for a while.

Snappy title, mind. Better than mine, anyway:

"There's four blokes, right? One's dead, another owns a tank, the third can't sing and the fourth's a petulant overpaid twat..."

[Come to think of it, that sounds like the best four players in Stoke's squad.....]

I think he had problems getting a publisher interested in doing this book, this ultra limited approach is his answer to that lack of interest. In other words don't hold your breath for a more affordable version for mere mortals not in the investment business.

Looks good.

But I'm another of those skint fcukers on here.

If anyone gets a copy and would like to scan the book for me :uhoh:

Oops, I stand corrected.

I'll buy two copies then - one to keep minty for future generations to profit from and one to rip up and feed through the scanner for Shug...

I don't care how I get a copy.

Thank you for your interest in Kevin Cummins’ ‘Juvenes’ and sorry for the delayed response, but the interest has been very high and all enquires have been dealt with in strictly chronological order to maintain fairnesswhile we cleared the backlog. We are sorry but all lettered copies are now reserved. People reserving copies have been given five days to secure their edition so you have been placed on a waiting list to see if anymore become available. In the meantime we are happy to say that a numbered edition has been reserved for you. We can hold your copy for five days untilit has to be secured by payment. If after that a lettered edition becomes available we will contact you and, if you still want it you can then pay the additional £300.
