The current edition of Music Week (published 25.08.07)is carrying a number of articles dedicated to the memory of Tony Wilson.

The paper hands over the bulk of its available features and advertising space in tribute to Wilson. Pieces included:

Manchester memorial earmarked for Tony Wilson; Obituary 'Twenty Four Hour Music man'; Joy Division article with new quotes from Hooky & Steve; Peter Saville interview 'Music and Design in Harmony'; Feature on repackaging of JD material 'Heart and Soul'.

Sizable condolonces and tributes are published from Universal, SJM, Out Promotions, Lea & Company Solicitors and X-ray Touring.

All in all, very sympathetic and respectful treatment of Tony Wilson's life and legacy.

A must have for all on these boards.

Yup, and as posted before, here are some future release dates (as mentioned in the article):

Each album will be accompanied by extended sleeve notes and a live disc.

I thought they were gonna put some effort into the 'extra' stuff with the albums. ULU, H.Wycombe & The Factory live recordings are hardly 'god-i haven't got those' items. Bollocks - what about Deeply Dale dvd, Bowden Vale masters...et al.

TIFF this year looks positively fabulous. Jealous as hell that I'm too poor to attend.

Control and Jon Savage's film at TIFF - the wife and I live 90 minutes from Toronto - how does lil' old me get tickets for individual screenings?

Never thought I'd say moving from Chicago to Buffalo, NY has it's advantages - but this certainly could be one!!!
