Apart from the well-known Exorcist sample, where did the other samples for Don't Do It come from? I'm sure this has been discussed before, but can't recall.

It's in the FAQ:

"'Don't put your finger on the button' is an excerpt taken from a small British film made in the late 80's. It was a made-for-tv film a bit like 'Pennies from Heaven' or 'The Singing Detective'. It was not unlike a play made for tv. It was mostly some couples on a canal boat on holiday, you know, the BBC2 style films that are shown every now and then. In one of the scenes the phrase is said a few times - not science fiction I'm afraid, just some geezer with his finger on one of the buttons on the boat."

(Edit: I actually remember watching that play at the time)... :spit:

It *might* have been an Alan Ayckbourn play...

In fact, it's probably "Way Upstream"...

Do I win 40 pounds? :smoking:

Where does "It's only one more day" from Jetstream come from?

Damn good question, and I'd never noticed that sample at the beginning of the song before...

:smoking:

The woman's voice reminds me of Rodney Bewe's wife (Thelma) in the likely lads... Probably totally off the mark, though! :p

(Or it could be from "Cold Feet")...

Has to be 'Way Upstream' from the description. I remeber watching it but could never remember the title.

The backwards sample, right, at the end is from The Exorcist aswell. "Your mother sucks cocks in hell"

Isnt the sample "we're going to get you...." from Evil Dead II?.

What about the guy yelling, "Hey Taylor! It's going to haunt you!" or something like that at 2:16?

I always thought it was "We're going to get you..."?
