Blue Monday (FAC73) - white label/test pressing

Hi all,

Have been thinking about parting with my white label/test pressing of Blue Monday. It has FAC73 and MT1/MT2 etchings, which seems to differ from my other copies in the die-cut sleeve which have MT6 etched. I've already got two copies of release in the die-cut sleeve, so I thought there would be a better, more cherishing home for this one...

Is this particularly rare? Any estimates on what a NO/Factory fan would be prepared to offer? - the other pressings seem to be reasonably easy to pick up and often quite cheaply, but never seen another copy over the years of a wl/tp.

Cheers in advance for any info!

Hi Steph. That's like asking how long a piece of string is...

If you look on EBay, copies of Blue Monday vary greatly in price - that's for the normal 'original' release. I've seen them go for as little as 50p and as much as £14.

I'd say that if it's in good condition, then as a promotional copy, you'll get a reasonable amount for it. I'd put a reserve on it of £10 or so, but it's up to you to decide what you'd be prepared to be accept to be persuaded part with it.

You should certainly spend some time wording the description and make sure you include a pic.

Don't take what I say as Gospel, but hopefully that helps.

I read a funny thing the other day, on a Wilson obit I think.

Aparently the sleeve for the first release of Bloo Monday cost so much to make that Factory went bankrupt and everything.

Ahh, good point. Nobody should ever sell a copy of Blue Monkey :nono: you'll loose 2p on the deal every time
