Just seeing Kenny Taylor's post has reminded me of something I got through the mail earlier in the week.

I ain't entirely sure what it's supposed to be - book readings? poetry? deejays? what? But it does go under the Hac-ee-ender banner and it does appear the South Bank will have a Tony Wilson room for one night!

24HrPP on the South Bank

EDIT: just booked tickets for this (er, whatever it is?!) and there's only a few left!

I presume it's not actually seated, as such, and that's the way they've just laid out the website for purchasing tickets.

Everyone receive a phone call from the organisers recently?.

Know they called Al, Nick King and myself on Friday asking which room the ticket was for?!. There's a choice of two rooms and they barfed up the e-booking system so you didn't actually have to make a choice at the time.

Anyways we've all gone for the Tony Wilson room with Dave Haslam on decks. Shame, was looking forward to seeing Henry Normal. Er, he's not.

I think we might need some - Terry Christian and some other people talking, followed by the Dave Haslam club bit at the end... (If I'm reading the blurb correctly)...

Although, I have heard some of Josephine Oniyama's stuff (singer/songwriter), and it's not bad at all...

Not only that, but in addition to the phone call, I've just this minute received an e-mail asking exactly the same question - they obviously didn't take that much notice when I gave them the initial answer on Friday morning!

Haslam is defo dj'ing, ain't he? The blurb seems to be selling him as Haslam 'the author'!

I can see us doing a pub crawl down the Cut by 9pm! :nonono:

I *think* that's what the blurb says (i.e. the two rooms converge after the readings/poetry/music)?

But, yeah, pub crawl might be better! :spit:

So that'll be the witheld number that I didn't bother answering on Friday afternoon. They rang every ticket buyer!!

Pub crawl sounds good

Me neither, when I phoned up, just take your confirmation e-mail with you - that'll be enough to get you in... It *may* (according to the box office) turn up later on this week, but I wouldn't hold my breath! :)

Apart from getting cnuted? :evil4:

Well, meet up in the pub opposite Waterloo station (forgotten the name - will have to find out) about 6'ish, I've got to go and get tickets half-an-hour before it's due to start, we then go to performance, find out it's crap, then go back to said pub until it closes? :)

Sounds good :thumb:

I was trying to think of the name of that boozer too. Old skool place. Opposite the front of the station, other side to The Fire Station/McDoanlds etc. Gary and Gordie always go there. It'll come to me.
