Someone on the french forum sayed that Gillian did the backing vocals on World in Motion at Finsbury. I think that nobody mentioned that here. Any comments?

of course...I didn't even realize she was there...and no, I wasn't drunk this time!!!!
So this might mean that she hasn't really left the band. I was a little affraid in Paris when Barney introduced Phil Cuniwhatever as their new guitarist, as if he was now an official member of the band.

yes it was her. The French thread is right. Bright red dress. And a grin. She stood next to the other backing lady ( who has a great voice)

"Here To Stay" is shamelessy retro (the gothic intro) but I love it, wonderful chorus, great guitars, great sounds. I love it.
It is retro your right there Booster. The syn-toms are quite superb - why didn't anyone use these recently ... does it always take New Order to set the pace? (shesh).
Best moment of a New Order record in a long while was the repeated vocal on the end chorus 'We're Here to Stay' ... sends shivers down my spinal column. Buster have you seen the film 24 hour yet? - if so, what did you think?
The film isn't out in Belgium yet. And I think I will wait for the DVD anyway...
About "Here To Stay", I tend to think now it's the best of all the new songs, even better than "Turn Huntsman's feet".

Holy cow Booster that's quite an outburst. I tend to think the State song is a bit limited, i.e. Turn My Own Feet is deep with lots of interesting things happening that you can find only after the 253rd listen, whereas Here I State is primarily a pop song ... blistering pop song at that.
For what it's worth the film is thoroughy entertaining. You'll like it. Get the chips in.
I think Huntsy is spot-on saying 'Prozac To Stay' is primarily a pop song....I loved it like mad when it came out but like most bubblegum, it gets a stale after my 57th spin...... 'Turn My Pumpkin Away' however gets more and more interesting after my 135th spin. For me, this one definitely grow like a pumpkin......
