Question about True Faith single

I was browsing a local record store today and stumbled upon a True Faith 12" single. After buying it and bringing it home, I noticed that it doesn't have the original version anywhere on the vinyl. It contains the dub remix, the Morning Sun extended remix, and 1963. I also noticed that it's copyrighted 1987 Quest Records. Is the same thing as the True Faith FAC183R single that was published in the UK, just with different packaging? The cover is the single yellow leaf with the blue background, NOT the multicolored leaves on a white background. Thanks!

183R has remixes of True Faith, Paradise (aka the Rasic sic spelling and Bounty Mix) and True Dub on it. The cover is leaves of various colours falling on a white to gray background.

Yeah, I think the mixes on the 12" I have are the exact same thing. I cross-referenced the running times on Wikipedia, and they are exactly the same as the songs on 183R. But they have different names, which is odd. For simplicities sake:

FAC183R:

1. "True Faith (Remix)" (8:59)
2. "1963" (5:32)
3. "True Dub" (10:41)

1987 Quest records release:

1. "True Faith (The Morning Sun Extended Remix)" (8:59)
2. "True Faith (Alternate Faith Dub)" (10:41)
3. "1963" (5:32)

There is no way those can be different mixes.

EDIT: Ah, after looking at the link, I see that they are indeed the same mixes. Hmm, now I need to decide whether I want to get FAC183R just to have the official Factory release...

Yup, True Faith (Remix) (8:59) is exactly the same as "The Morning Sun Extended Remix", and "True Dub" is exactly the same as the "Alternate Faith Dub" mix (wish they'd release the latter one on CD someday)...

Only the Australian FAC183R has the Rasic remix of "Paradise" on it, and this later appeared on "Retro"

US BLT 12" also somehow renames "Bizarre Dub Triangle" to "I Don't Care" - was well disappointed it wasn't a new song when I played that...

I dithered many times on buying that back in the day wondering if I Don't Care was a new track or a different mix. In the end figured it must be a naming error or summat and didn't purchase

I have it. I kept the 12" minty mint, but the Americans were kind enough to release BLT as a cd single as well, which does get the odd spin. From memory one of the mixes was new to me. I will have to listen to it again.

edit 2:edit: I think it was just the fact that I hadn't heard that Bizarre Dub Triangle mix in ages. Still it is nice to have it on cd.

No I was right. The single version clocks in at 3.44 instead of 3:40. Anyway it is listed on that discography.

I do prefer the actual 7" single to this one.
