absolutely NOT. am sure there will be "NEW OTHER" materials. WHEN? AND WHAT?, we just don't know... am optimistic!

According to the band(?), there are 7 'left-over' tracks from WFTSC, and I don't think the 3 songs in Control are part of those 7.

Although the song 'Exit' would be an appropriate title for their final release.:evil4:

Indeed!

To be honest, when I watched the film, I didn't even notice the 3 New tracks... So they can't be that good... So, in answer to your question, no...

There are more than seven tracks to come, but you won't get a release until 2009 :ignore:

Voted for " I reckon there's more new material to come..." more in hope than anything else....

And, the 3 OST tracks would be a dissapointing end..

Don't really feel like the Control soundtrack material counts as last ever New Order material simply because it's so insubstantial. Had they done the entire soundtrack themselves, the question would be more relevant. As is, those little pieces barely qualify as songs and I don't associate them with the catalogue of New Order proper.

No - but I suspect they will be.

They will have to release the damned 7 left-overs at some point.

Or use them as b-sides for Blue Monday 2008, True Faith 2009, Confusion 2010 and The Very Best of New Order

Hopefully they'll arrange an archival release in the next few years where we'll get to hear all the strange and wonderous New Order songs from Movement to Sirens Call...Hey, I like to be hopefull that they'll get back together too...

Lets have the original 25 minute version of Tempation Hooky! We know it's out there! :D

Prediction: The Sirens outtakes will never appear. They'll stay in the vaults and remain part of the enigma around the band. I reckon this year'll see a Freebass release and festival appearances... Something from Bad Lieutenant... And remasters. Who knows?

Apart from the remasters (which probably won't happen soon), in total agreement, with the addition of the long-delayed Glasgow DVD, perhaps?

Don't forget (the absolute most-bestest of) New Order...

Pah!

I'm voting for the other 7 to be released in the future when Barney and Hooky quit being twats to each other.

The 3 Control tracks merely sound like Steve being bored one day due to the heavy rain outside, keeping him from playing with his tank!

;)

Peace out!

Apparently it exists in it's final cut - they've only kept one of the 808 tracks though...

Although, when it'll finally hit the streets, who knows?

All recorded in 5.1 Surround Sound too.

A storming gig by New Order (although a JD-only set moan moan). Also Johnny Marr's lovely version of There is a Light...

no. it's just filler to pass the time until the proper filler (from WFTSC) gets dumped on us

Waiting for the Siren's Left Overs will be a neverending wait, unless someone liberates them as demos from the NO archive.

Hooky and Barney would have to get on to get them finished- I reckon it's gonna be at least a decade (ala Led Zep, The Who, The Police, Genesis and all those other bands that are dragging themselves out of decomposition) until they write together again (when the pension funds need a boost) and by that time they'll hopefully come up with a few new tracks...

I agree.

The tracks are good, but too short and they also sound like Barney is absent.

I think Barney is probably the most prominent member on the tracks actually, judging by the lack of Hooky's bass, minimal percussion, and heavy use of keyboards.

The best track is Get Out, just beautiful.

And I am positive that its Barney playing that gorgeous piano line on Get Out. He is the best keyboardist in the group (now that Gillian is gone).
