ordered mine a couple of month's back and it eventually came through out of the blue just before xmas - only had a chance to flick through it so far, but nicely packaged.
Ordered and paid in August for the lettered edition. Still have not received it.
Was told in an e-mail about 4 weeks ago that it was being "dispatched as I write this."
I called the about 10 days later to confirm and was told it had been "shipped off yesterday."
It's now about 3 weeks after that. I've written 2 more e-mails, neither of which has been replied to. Will try again and probably call later this week.
thanks for your responses...and congrats to wolfram. i'm afraid i'm in the same boat as you Peter, have emailed repeatedly only to not receive any sort of response. mind you, they answered all questions quite promptly before payment was sent! what a joke of a publishing house...
I rang him up yesterday from the number on the to hell with it publishing web site and he couldn't find my order he had me on the paid list but not on the send out a copy list. Once he had found me on the paid list he said he would send it out special next day delivery and it came today copy no 77 and is a superb book, so ring him up and if your on the paid list get your book sent out.
a paid list and a separate send out list? really!?!?!? this is the same publishing house that claimed the edition was nearly sold out in early fall....so they collected funds from payments, but didn't immediately apply those funds to the stock at hand, but would readily deliver the "nearly sold out" edition when prompted? does that not sound a bit odd? how could an edition be nearly sold out when they do not mail to or apply a 226 edition product to a paid-for list?
a total fucking joke. i apologize if i am being rude...but i'd rather throw my money to a mapplethorpe collection than kevin fucking cumminz given this service....
