First, hello as this is my first post here. I have read some posts and threads :read: and it's been a laugh :lol: Pleasure to meet you all. I'm a BattleGrape, and I can defend anyone anytime anyplace :D

I'm trying to sort of catch up on releases and stuff. I don't see a way to search, so thought I'd just ask in my first post about future remasters, in particular Substance / BBC sessions (Joy Division), and New Order's albums generally.

That's it, thanks for reading and I hope I didn't break rules or anything like that!

Best name round these parts in a while.

The Peel sessions were recorded by the BBC, and therefor do not require any remastering, being perfect in every way already.

While Substance was certainly mastered by a deaf man, almost all the tracks off it can be found in a sonicly less sucky condition on other compilations such as retro and Singles.

Remastering of New Order's albums would be a good idea if the masters were available. Biggest priority for me wouldn't be so much remastering as remixing and re-editing Low Life and Brotherhood. For a band as talented as the undoubtedly were, to put out such shoddily self-produced material ain't all that clever.

I did read the news and got the jist that NO aren't currently in remastering/mixing mode, but there was a lotta news and figured "I'm tired, I'll ask on the forums".

Concur about the BBC sessions, I suppose with regard to them I was curious if they might be 'redone' in any way as perhaps a reason to include interview or other material. Substance I'd very much like to have remastered since I don't have all the other source material.

Also agree about Brotherhood, but not so much about Low-life, but this might just be me being used to having heard it as it was on CD first, it being my first NO album, and all that nostalgia :yawn: What's this about missing masters? This is surprising.

BattleGrape. Well, there are also BattleApples, BattleCucumbers, you name it! In the future, the way I figure it, there'll still be hot anime babes, great beers, and fools wanting to battle giant robots and stuff. Of course, with the way things are going we'll run out of metal so scientists must find new materials from which to build collosal mecha; fruits and vegitables make good sense. That's my story, I'm sticking to it :hat:

Now I need to go buy WFTSC because I've been bad and not gotten or heard it. I feel like a scoundral lol. Thanks for the warm greeting again!

Never mind remastering they should get their arses back into the studio and re-record everything.

They can do some new stuff while they're at it, then go on tour to promote it all.
