Got me Glasto registration, and despite the general consensus of opinion on here, its still the best......in my general opinion.

Then again, I suppose the noise he's after isn't injured by loss of the really deep subharmonics, and anyway, I LIKE a bit of cabinet now and then, it warms and smooths the tone.
[1] I HATE heavy basses, my Aria weighs a lot less than most guitars, and my Bass Collection, while a little heavier, is SO a chick's bass, tiny body, slim neck, and I don't care cos I loves it.

all im gonna say is take the stuff that he had years ago, change loads of it and then get rid of the rest, and then you are up to date.

im sorry but i just dont get it. this whole idea is complete and utter shite. THREE BASS PLAYERS? who gives a fuck? unfortunately for some reason people in music only have a certain amount of time where they make stuff that is great, this seldom carries on into later life and i very much doubt hooky is going to be one of the few that comes up with something great with this new "band". i find the whole concept embarrassing. hows it going to work? are they going to take guest vocalists out on the road with them?i think the man has lost it, its just sad.

I'm really intrigued by Hookys new band. Three bass players, I understand that Mani's taking the lows, Rourke's taking the mids and Hooky is taking the highs. How's it going to work, what will it sound like? I don't know, but I bet it does work. If there's one thing that gets on my tits more than anything, it's when people slate bands / ideas before hearing them. What's wrong with being open minded??

You've never heard Kingpin from Helmshore, or 3 Men Gone Mad from Blackburn. It worked 15 years ago for them, us. And this will too. I hope.....
Well, UNKLE collaborate with a lot of different singers, and they're not bad...
Considering that I've only ever heard an old demo track by them, I can't comment as to how they're going to sound like until I actual hear them...

I do that quite regularly now. For instance, my life will never be empty enough to ever consider listening to a band called Joe Lean and The Jing Jang Jong. But i suppose thats band names.
as for Freebass, my expectations are so low I cant fail to be surprised.

Three guitars are OK, despite the guitar being the most obnoxious unpleasant instrument ever. Three keyboard players is fine too. But basses oh no....."fuck up and go dum dum dum dum on root notes, cos bass isn't an instrument".

Here is what few people seem to realize: Musicians who enjoy what they do continue to make music. They'll do it with a band, without a band, or just jamming with their friends. The man obviously still likes to play and record so what's the big deal? Also, who's to say that 3 basses all have to sound like basses? You're quickly passing judgement on something you haven't heard. I'll reserve my opinion until I hear the finished product and even if I don't like it, I doubt it'll pahse Hooky and he'll keep right on having fun playing his bass.
Music is where you find it.
Genesis used three drummers at one point, like it or not, it worked.
Plenty of bands have three guitarists.
Loads of groups have three or more sets of vocals going at one time.
Can't begin to count the number of bands with three or more keyboard players.
Some of the above are great, some not so good, but why should the idea of three basses be bad? The bass players here seem to love it, and as people have sort-of said, let's get a taste of it first (before pissing in the lemonade).
Plenty of bands have used guest vocalists and guest musicians, so why should that not work?
And when you consider that the bass players in this band aren't me, Cambo and Ian, but HOOKY, ANDY ROURKE and MANI, don't you think they might actually sound really good? Maybe not to everyone's taste, but certainly a unique, memorable and individual sound.
Ah well, we can wait until the first releases/gigs. What's the worst that can happen? We get another excuse for pre-gig beers 
Actually, if Hooky is playing the 6........
It's two basses and a barritone.
