i was there both nights, the first night i was stone cold sober, the second i was far from it. But im sure they recorded on both nights so it will be a cobbling together of the two shows, but to be honest i will be surprised if this ever does come out.

I do hope there will be some of the Corby Order on there! ![]()

Yes Shugzv out of his face on shandys:D
If it's anything like the Manchester Apollo gig, it'll be well worth it.
I would imagine that if it does actually get released, it'll have a couple of minor extras. Shame it's likely to be two gigs botched together. Would be better if it was the complete two gigs on a double DVD.
I cancelled my pre-order in November last year (a month after it was supposed to be released).
Glad I did, as I have a depressing feeling that it will be greatly reduced in cost very quickly anyway, as there won't be a tour, single or album to help promote it.
Maybe they're waiting for Hooky to promote it with a few Freebass gigs. ![]()
i think they would be more likely to use the footage from second night as hooky had a bit of a sore back on the first and plainly was not his usual self...
that said, it'll probably never come out despite all the production work that has gone into it....
I hope it comes out, but without any interviews after the gig, me and John were absolutely hammered, I think I tried to show my Vikings tattoo but was too pissed and I'm sure John played the Vikings theme which he had on his phone ![]()
We were only at the first one, but from what I can remember it was fookin great. We even managed to get two or three beers down to the mosh pit, not that they lasted too long.

Hooky did mention in his lbog last summer that they were mixing the sound for it and that it sounded brilliant...
And all of the reviews of both shows were excellent....
And both night will probably be combined seamlessly into one....
I am sure that it will come out...perhaps with some songs from NYC 05 as extra's and some band interviews and footage from the V festival as well.
It would sell. New Order has a strong enough fanbase.
It would sell to us...
New Order don't have that strong a fan base any more - WFTSC £2.99 in the bargain bins 8 months after release? ![]()
If the DVD was a Ltd Edition 10,000 in each country, and all were numbered, that might work.
I'd be happy with any releases to be honest ![]()
Just looking forward to Freebass now...

That was the gig where a pint came spinning down from the balcony and landed between my arm and body, still about half full. I was covered in it, of course, and without thinking I licked my face to see whether it was piss. A girl standing next to me said "Is it pish?" and I said "No" and offered it to her. She drank it all right in front of me and I never saw her again.
And the next morning, I threatened to kill a monk on Buchanan St.
Quality gig ![]()
if bands like the Supersuckers, Erasure and Human Leauge and the Subhumanz can put out concert DVDs and have them sell, then New Order certainly can, right?
the othes are not on Warners... If there were still a Factory, we'd already have SA-CDs of all the albums, DVD-rereleases, no (best + rest of), the singles box set and so on 2 years before Depeche Mode just for the sake of Tony Wilson to do it before anyone else does it. Good times around the corner...
Am I the only one quite underwhelmed by all this. It won't offer anything more than we had for Hyde Park or New York. They all look quite similar after a while.
Would be interesting to see if any of our lot got their ugly mugs on camera though, natch.
I was interviewed after being thrown out for taping the first night.
I'm sure I was the worse for wear and remember showing off my Viking Tatoo.

V FESTIVAL + NEW ORDER + DIDNT HAPPEN!

Nope...
On an unrelated note, rewatching Control on DVD these last few weeks, I've noticed how prominently Ian's wedding ring features in (certainly the early party of) the film... Ok, so it's not an observation worth £40, but... ![]()

Apart from the new WFTSC songs.
Err... not much then ![]()

Fcuk me Snorri, you'd struggle to get 40p for that one.

If I come up with some more interesting observations can I build my way up to 40p?

V FESTIVAL + NEW ORDER + DIDNT HAPPEN!
New Order Headlined the Verizon Wireless Festival in Hyde park in 2005. The show was filmed for inclusion on the aborted NYC/Hyde Park DVD.
Thats what I meant by V Festival. :)

That was the O2 Wireless Festival - the V Festival in the UK is a totally different festival! :)
Not sure what Verizon has to do with the Wireless Festival? ![]()

Cause the Wireless festival is the actually the verizon Wireless festival.
I got confused! You have to understand....I live in America and don't know about all of the UK's many music festivals. I was confused you see!

Er, no it's not, it's the O2 Wireless Festival! :p

Correct. I was there and saw a few of you in the pub beforehand.

Ah yes you are right!
Well, I am American, outside of Glstonbury and Reading I dont know much about all of the UK festivals.
At least you folks got to go! I am stuck here in the US and have only seen New Order once!
Scamazon pre-orders are a lie. Everything you pre-order suddenly is delayed because "the manufacturer moved their release date", even if, as in the most recent case, the release date has been the same for over 8 months. They use them to bolster the company's value I think..."oh and we have $20m of pre-orders too". Wankers.

Don't worry. At least Control is now on DVD release here.
