"Members of Rambo And Leroy have been collaborating with Bernard Sumner, Phil Cunningham, and Alex James as part of a new project named "Bad Lieutenant"."

Heard about this on Revolution 96.2 in Manc the other day. They said Stephen was involved as well.

Cheers, Sij

This was news about six months ago; and doesnt appear to be a joke. First I heard about Phil Cunningham being involved though.

I think Rambo & Leroy have worked with Phil before.

They did a session on The Rev, which I didn't hear, but the presenter said they said they'd been in the studio writing stuff with Barney, Stephen and Phil and were also getting Alex James on board, so I'm assuming they've at least written some songs, if not recorded them.

There are connections galore with this....

Jake Evans (Rambo & Leroy), is also a member of Marion as well as Bad Lieutenant. So he's in two bands with Phil.

R&L are from the Macclesfield area, like Marion and half of Joy Division and New Order.

Jack Mitchell of Haven is also in Bad Lieutenant, while his band mate Gary Briggs is the vocalist of ...............Freebass!.

The inspiration for the name Bad Lieutenant comes from the film of the same name. The film is currently going through a remake starring Nick Cave and is being directed by.........Werner Herzog!.

Oh and Bernard, Steve and Phil used to be in the same band together. No, really!.

It's an incestuous business this NE Cheshire scene.

And Jack Mitchell is the drummer in Haven. The drummer. So what's going on here?. Are the Bads aspiring to some Bow Wow Wow/early period Adam and the Ants style two drummer scenario?!. Or is Jack (or Steve) doing something different?

Nic Cage, not Nick Cave.

Will there be any new style of barney dancing? I hope steve does those moves from the run video too. Hell they could do a rap project, in lieu of times change!
