"Disruption…Posts which intend to disrupt the topic of conversation or steer the topic away from the focus of the forum and related news. Disruption can include harassment, multiple posting of the same post and posting completely off topic messages."

As you know, this IS one of the rule of this forum, there is a place for off-topic posts, but there is also a limit to respect.

Keep in mind that the main goal of this forum is to discuss about New Order and everything related to New Order.

The webmasters and moderators (of this forum and other forums) have the previledge of asking users to keep on the topic, and if people go off-topic too often, this might result of losing the previledge of posting on the New Order topic forum.

As I stated, we might open a general chat forum is people are really interested in this, I have NO PROBLEM at all with it, but I for sure won't moderate it, as it would take a lot of time, but I am willing to open it and name a moderator if anyone is interested.

There is a grey zone for off-topic, once a thread is opened, of course it's normal the topic might change inside a thread, but you know, posting about football and other off-topic subjects are usually not welcomed. There is forums out there to talk about that.

So, basically, this thread is to inform you that, everyone's account is back to normal, but we, webmasters, intend to enforce the community standards that we have chosen, and to make this forum a place to discuss about New Order. We reserve the right to close off-topic threads at any moment simply because we would like this forum to stay on-topic.

As I said, if we have to start a general chat forum, and anyone is interested in being a moderator, I'm sure there is no problem about this, I think our community is large enough to diserve an off-topic forum. and the system can handle it.

I've done it, say hello to the Behind Closed Doors forum, the general chat forum of NewOrderOnline.

I will modify the code to allow moderators to move off-topic posts to that forum, which will, I think, solve most of "our" problem.

This way, people wanting to chat with other members publicly will be able to do so, and people wanting to read a forum about New Order will also be able to. Best of both worlds.

Now, I just need to find a moderator, and I sure hope this will be a success.

Well, as the supposed King of irreverance and irrelevance, shouldn't I moderate the Behind Closed Doors forum ?

I think this new forum is just what the site needs to get back on track. Bet we all notice a shift in who posts, as Shug's got nothing to say about New Order ;)
