Last Sunday i managed to purchase 2 MINT condition QWEST "BACK TO BACK" Hits of BLUE MONDAY 1988 single mix 4:10,with TRUE FAITH 4:02,cost £1 for both.Is this a bargain and or is it a BARGAIN.Wot goodies on the promo or unusual NEW ORDER tracks have you purchased recently.Seems that LANCASHIRE support fot the ORDER could be waning.:) RM the collector of ANORAKS

was given a TRUE FAITH 12" in exchange for a lift to paddington station (only 2 miles) by my mate the BUZZARD before he fucked off to portland. not sure how the fuel cost translates into real money. as i have no turntable, the cover makes a lovely piece of art on my lounge wall.

Now if he had given you the remixed AUSTRALIAN you would have a GREAT piece of ARTWORK. The white one with all the colourded leaves ,smaller leaves than the inside of the PROMO SUBSTANCE though. This also has PARADISE on the B-side. RM the collector of FINE ART

not only that, Mick, but it also has 1963 listed as a track on the spine, and it's not even on the record. Is this vinyl remix of True Faith a rare one? I have it, I seem to recall it ran at 33rpm, which is weird for a single. I know Temptation 7" was 33rpm, but I didn't think much after that was... CTB

CTB the FAC183R that i have does NOT list 1963,that is listed on FAC183.So if youhave that i guess it IS rare. The FAC183R that i refer to in the WHITE cover with coloured leaves is excellent BUT i don't have a clue about its scarcity.Love it though and thanks for your cooperation.I will do some digging and try to solve the mysteries. CHEERS rm THIS IS THE 12 inch though not a 7inch.

Rocket man - I have the disc in question in front of me, and it is indeed FAC 183R,, the 12" remix of True Faith with many coloured leaves against a cloudy background, with the actual tracklisting as follows: Side 1: True Faith Remix Side 2: Paradise Remix/True Dub The spine does say, however "New Order - True Faith Remix/1963/True Dub". I'm guessing that because this is new to you it is probably rare, as you seem quite the FAC hound and more up to speed on the whole Factory catalogue than me. For what it's worth, it is 33rpm, and has "New Order - Remix" written on the back in a 'Substance' - style font. Also has "Released by Factory Records Australasia under licence from Factory Records Manchester England" written on the disc label. Do I have a rarity here? What's it worth, it's in good nick.. Mine has a rounf sticker in it that reads "NEW ORDER...extended remixes TRUTH FAITH...from the album SUBSTANCE PARADISE from the album BROTHERHOOD FAC 183R

Aclear inner sleeve..the stuff about AUSTRALASIA.. but NEW ORDER REMIX on SPINE. MINE COST £15 in about 1989 but these were expensive them. THE CONDITION IS PERFECT..no creases on sleeve..record only played a few times.. As for yours it may be a NEWER or OLDER edition. Worth..well you ain't ever going to sell it so like the CROWN JEWELS...you are a MILLIONAIRE. Thanks RM

Cool - thanx space guy! I got mine in 87, and that's the date of manufacture on it also, so I think it is the original release, not a reissue. Mine has no mention of Substance or Brotherhood on it, nor anything 'bout extended remixes, so it's all good. I will sit on this rather than try to sell it and then regret it 2 days later. I only paid about A$4.00 for it (about one pound 20p in your moola), so I'm well happy. Cheers again Rocket! CTB

I've got 2 copies of this Aussie True Faith mix, hee-hee... I got this second copy when my flatmate left the country for good...and left his NO collection under my care, that was 15 years ago!!

Anyway, CTB, I think it is only rare if you are not in Australia....coz I do see many 'doggy-eared' copies of them floating around in markets, second-hand shops ( something like that Run2 syndrome...if you are in UK, you can find it quite easily )...in fact, i believed our fellow NOOL, Brendan Sun, has recently bought a copy of True Faith Remix 12" from Ebay......

Aye... I noticed that as well, Quincy Jones even admitted back then that it was an honour to have the only "white" act on his Warner-licensed label...so they must have been something special to get such honours bestowed on them. ;)

BTW Mickey - very impressed with your latest "Bargain" find......:thumb: perhaps we should rename you "sniffer dog" or sumthing, seeing as you manage to seek out so many obscure gems and stuff!?!
