Cant say I am surprised. Can recall when I think it was Wolfgang Fleur from Kraftwerk released an autobiography and I dont think anyone bought it. It seems people would much rather hear about Anthony Kiedis doing coke off a whores bum as opposed to a middle aged german mans cycling addiction or the merits of a Mini-Moog.

I don't remember what I bought last time at a bookstore. Amazon.com does amazing job for me.

The Bernard Sumner book - 'Confusion' by David Nolan.
The Wolfgang Fleur book was an excellent read - 'I Was A Robot'

Well, he could have specified David Nolans book on Bernard Sumner. Thread title clearly implies a book by Bernard Sumner.
Anyway, if he wants a copy that much, why doesnt he just email David Nolan? I bet he's got loads in the attic.
Or alternatively, just read some of the threads about the book on here to get the general jist.
If he does buy a copy, I should warn him the author LIES about the Blackpool gig. It was fucking awful!

Eh? That was an excellent day out. Barely made the train by the skin of me teeth pegging it through Euston station .. but thankfully had a seat slap-bang opposite Nickos (what were the odds?!).
Rendezvoused with Old Monkey in Preston - was it?
Then there was the Mexican meal beforehand with, oh I dunno, loads of people from here. Then the big drink-up in the Blue Posts.
Made friends with Jert in the toilets mid-gig. 
Met Boaty for the first time. Alex got a dig off some lad and threw a hissy fit. Met PD from the Mondays.
Then we were all in that club after.
Then proper carnage ensued back at the hotel after-hours and a certain lady from here basically burgled the landlady to rob more ale.
Which is what following a band's all about.
You need to look at the bigger picture, Li!

Thought he had a fantastic writing style - wrote with genuine childish enthusiasm, completely bi-polar from what people expect of Kraftwerk. The bits where he wrote about shagging groupies were soooperb, done with such energy and innocence - the cat that got the cream, but couldn't quite believe it. And, to this day, still couldn't.
The ongoing story of the patented (or not) drumpads was qualidee too - he made Hutter and Schneider out to be a right pair of cnuts. Well, he didn't, but you come to your own conclusion from the tale itself.
One of the better music books on the market I'd have thought. Certainly blew away the Kraftwerk myth (or perhaps added to the myth of Hutter and Schneider?)
Recommended.
Just finished reading Fleurs book and thought it was great, far more rock n' roll than I expected.
And probably as 'anti-cycling' as it gets

Aye Wolfgang's book is superb.A much better read than David Nolan's book about Barney if you had to choose between the two.
