Which is the magazine that appears on the video? Could anyone scan the New Order stuff mainly that amazing picture of the band for us, please?

Q, May 1993 at £2.00, $6,45 here.

I scanned and posted all that a couple of years back in BCD. Can't be arsed to look for it. Look for my vault postings. It should still be in one of them.

Also try the photo section of Barney's Angles. They have some high quality scans there.

Not that I've ever been there. :ignore:

OK They don't have Q, but they have the Select mag from that period.

Erm , the Baywatch thing was broadcast in April 1993 so how did they have a copy of a magazine that wasn't out yet? I'm confused myself now.Even more so with the fact i did once posess a copy of that issue that appears in the video:scratch:

Think it was a 1986 issue of Q actually if memory serves

No , that's wrong.Oh the trivia!

Oh and the question about how they are still playing "live" when towards the end of the performance they have disappeared from the beach but still "playing" the song has never been explained:skeptic:

I just dug that Q magazine out. It has the big Smile heading for the article. The same one the chick is reading.

It be that that article also appeared earlier in another magazine like Spin.

Right, the sleep can wait while we get this one cleared up!

It appears from your scan ,Ron, that the issue was indeed from 1993 because the intro mentions about "their record company disintergrated behind their backs" - which was 1992 obviously. Which confirms the issue must have indeed been 1993.£40 winging it's way to Planet Ron!

I dunno. It may simply be that Magazines are published a month ahead, so the May issue comes out in April.

Now go to shed. I'm going out to get some lunch seeing as I slept through brekkie and brunch.

That's probably it, aye.Just can't work out why i think that article is much older than 1993 though.Night all

Was the magazine editor who erased the picture of the band on foot?

That would have been Barney himself.

What does the "wet, wet, wet" mean, though? That one is over my head. He doesn't look wet. Does that have some slang meaning I don't know because I was raised in a cave? lol

Yes Wet Wet Wet were a band from Glasgow. They were a pop band, much loved by teenage girls and would insist on wearing torn denims and stripy shirts.

They turned out to be heroin addicts too, as it happens.

Type them into youtube.

I just caught one of their videos and I don't blame Barney for complaining if he thinks he looks like one of them in that photo.

All right: popular with teenage girls and some 21 year-old that Boaty fancied.

Happy now?

a bit rude to show the crossed out photos, but here's the rest. On the right that is only half a profile of Barney he didn't cross out, so not much to see there anyways.

(oh it looks like the new scanner really is much better than the old one.)
