This is an idea to start speculating on what you would want on an eventual Technique Remastered BONUS CD.
IN NO WAY THIS MEAN THIS PROJECT EXISTS, it's just for fun, and so we can eventually send the list to the labels so they would consider it, maybe.
But just maybe.
So, BROTHERHOOD 1986... what the hell would you want on a BONUS CD? rare tracks? live gig... what?
I like to have the following tracks on a bonus disc:
Evil Dust, Bizarre Love Triangle (single mix, 12 inch mix & Bizarre Dub Triangle single mix, 12 inch mix), State Of The Nation (7 inch mix, 12 inch mix), Shame Of The Nation (7 inch mix & 12 inch mix) and the Salvation! soundtrack recordings with the fabulous Let's Go instrumental.
If Shellshock wasn't on the remaster of Low Life, I'd like to have the 7 inch & 12 inch versions as well as Shellcock 7 inch & 12 inch versions on here.
Maybe there are some Razormaid remixed as well for some (album?)tracks. But personally, I don't like live renditions of songs from that period or so.
I really wish they'd go back and do a singles box or series of boxes the way The Clash, Depeche Mode, and other bands have done. New Order really was a singles band up to a certain point, and with a full disc dedicated to each single all the 7", 12", etc. versions could be painstakingly compiled without clogging up the bonus discs of any album remasters.
Of course they should all have reproduction artwork. Expensive, but totally worth it.
That said, I'm not in favor of all the various edits of singles on the bonus discs. I want unreleased material, live versions, and music from the same time period a la the Salvation soundtrack.
Brotherhood was the first New Order album I bought (November 1986). I'd like to hear the disc recreated with live versions pulled from various shows, because they were still playing everything they wrote during live sets.
I very like Depeche Mode remastered albums : hybrid sacd & cd + dvd.It's my favourite variant of remastering.

Isn't this what Rob Gretton wanted? I think this was the original idea of "Recycle" before Rob died and the band went the Retro path instead (sadly).
I actually listened to this cd today for the first time in ages. I had forgotten how good the songs are, but how poor the sound quality of the cd is. We need this remaster regardless of what is on the bonus.
I agree good songs but production is suspect. I think Bernard once said he felt it had too many overdubs.
Sheffield Roxy is my favorite concert of this era.
anyone know when/where this album was recorded? I read somewhere they were in a hurry to cover some Factory costs, hence the album coming out so soon after Low Life. If these songs had incubated a little longer, and if the band had taken more care and time in producing them, this may have been THE MASTERPIECE of 1987...

I think the CD stated Dublin, Liverpool and London (but I could be wrong). Apart from BLZ and SOTN the tracks sound like they were recorded in one take. Very rough round the edges, worse vocal recording Ive ever heard (sounds like barney sings through a Woolworths microphone), horrible garish guitar distortion, bass is too loud.
Compare that to TBTHOG, true Faith and 1963 recorded a year later.
Needs re-recording,re-producing & remastering.Still a fookin' great album tho',some great songs 
I don't want to see any of the remasters have endless different fookin' versions of the same songs,or anything we've already had.If nothing of real related quality exists in the way of studio demo's etc.,then a live bonus disc,again of something we've not had,is a definate must.But,for me,the remastering is the primary importance.Just don't fook it up Warners 
"Solitude"...is this song from Brotherhood era? It's Skullcrusher (live) with some lyrics actually, and it's awesome! Can't belive they haven't recorded it. Does anyone know more about this track?
My suggestion is a live bonus CD. They could change the "Solitude" bootleg in an official release.

Unfortunately, "Elegia", "Face Up" & "TPK" were not included in the vinyl version of "Solitude"... Maybe these tracks could be appear in the Collector's Edition.
