Originally posted by Huntsman Here's one for you ... my bird thinks Ian Curtis is 'cool' and that JD material 'kicks arse'. Who am I to complain? - if we're out in the bomber 'Digital', 'Shadowplay' and 'Transmission' are often played at full blast with the bass in the danger zone. The last time we were out we had a heated discussion over the JD compliation 'Permanent'. The track listing states that track 1 is the original LWTUA and that the last track (14) is LWTUA 'permanent mix'. Well then, they are the wrong way 'round. Try telling that to my bird! ... But bird, the drums are new sounding, there's a backing vocal on the chorus, listen to that added synth on the bridge ... nop!, that's definitely the original mix.Repeat, until fade.:hat::hat:

I like the way you steered back on topic we were in danger of falling down a precipice, did you leave a trail of petals behind?

Kelly Brooke would make for a great heaving cleavage in one of those animal skin bikinis, would she have to speak though?

Thank you Hank ... I figured if I put that one-line in it may masquerade the slight deviations.

:hat:

maybe not.

Could DENNIS HOPPER play a cameo role as a deluded ex-'NAM veteran and kill everyone? Also what about the dead but lovely HATTIE JAKES.....she could be used as the foothills when led on her back! TR FILM 1937.

Kelly Brooke and Hatty Jacques in the same war film is enough to make my eyes water. Obviously Hatty will have to be digital like Jar-Jar Binks but that shouldn't be a problem, they could take snippits of audio from the carry on fims ... in fact, couldn't Kenneth Williams and Charles Hawtry star alongside as comedy allies?

So you're a Ray HarryhausEn fan (sorry for being off topic here, Mister Webmaster Sir, but this interests me)?

By the way, Hunts, back to topic (Mister Webmaster Sir: "hoorray!") Your NO song "titles"... It's been you all along, innit? I mean it's YOU who came up with those dreadful NO b-sides' titles in the 80's, weren't you? Were you actually PAID to come up with those godawful names? "Dub-vulture": You, right? "Shellcock" (what a classic!): You again, huh? "True Dub" (that one says it all really): again the Huntsy, innit? What about "Touched by the hand of Dub", "Fine Line", "Round & Remix"? Come on, don't be shy, it's yer fookin' style, man! Admit it!

Spelling man! at least try and make an effort to placate the French.

And Tron! More wonderful memories!

I will not deny nor admit any involvement with the alternative NO song titles.

Phil Tippet (of Jedi fame) was brought in to begin work on Jurrasic Park, after a few months limbering up with a few minotaurs S Spielburger was shown a digital example of a dinosaur. Unfortunately for Phil (and I would imagine the fabulous Raymond), he was shown the door ... and was provided with a suitable skeleton key.

The Ep. 1 Battle Droids, incidentally, were designed after much analysis on the Sinbad skeletons. George was very impressed and influenced by Ray and his plasticine efforts.

George, if you would like to discuss anything off-topic could you please use the 'General Forum' ... I don't think this is the place to be bringing up dinosaurs, daft names of NO records and indeed any debate on asteroids (a cracking snippit I heard the other day about these mighty space rocks).

Indeed. How very excited I was when I watched this, on bonfire night (Nov. 5th) early eighties with a jacket potato crammed full of vegetarian butter and a pinch of saltitude.

I didn't know what the film was on about then, and after watching it recently I am still non the wiser. All I can decipher is that some gadgie steals a well drawn 3-D bus and sets off to shoot the baddies who drift around blue world in a couple of long boats. The interesting aspect of it all, is that 'Disney' made this film (and Pearl Harbor).

Tron, Sinbad, Clash of the Titans ... such powerful films. What about Flash Gordon (phew what a stinker ... but great!), The Ice Pirates, Trading Places (still, one of the best films in the world ever ... such absolute quality throughout), An American Werewolf in Eggland ... mmmm .... is it hometime yet I wouldn't mind a classic movie night with copious amounts of nibbles.

Well, I think I saw Trading Places, but somehow it doesn't conjure the warm memories that Tron does.

My favourite episode of the Simpsons is the one with Homer and Bart inside an arcade game. When they come out and are walking around town is mind-blowing. either that one or the one were they freak out squares.

Personally, the snow plough episode hits the spot. The arcade scenes were too much for me to cope with.

Perhaps 'Trading Plaices with other Fish Lovers' is too real P? ... whereas 'Trot' is a fantastic adventure.

Funniest Simpsons scene was during the episdoe were Bush moved into that big house directly oppposite the Simpson's residence and during an outbreak of hostlities things came to a head in an interconnecting sewer pipe running directly between the two properties, during the ensuing fisti-cuffs Homer ran around the interior circumference of the cylindrical form of the pipe and at the point were gravity overtook the force he'd exerted in propelling himself he landed a perfect belly-flop onto the erstwhile President.

Yes! gerrinthere! practical usage of both physics and mathematics, though probably should have been on one of Tabbsy's topics.

Trading Places had Eddie Murphy, is that right H? Perhaps I just don't remember it very well. I remember liking Beverly Hills Cop though.

The correct sentence would be: "você gosta de biscoitos e queijo ou prefere apenas snacks da "Pringle"? Still I'll give you 14 out of 20 for the effort, lad!

I like the autentico touch with 'lad' at the end, were you taught English by a Scouser, Kidda?

Just to finnish this subject here (Yes Mister Webmaster Sir I'm deeply sorry for starting this mess): Yes I was indeed taught by a Merseyside native. His name's Sir Ian McCulloch and he taught me all I needed to know about your little island. Oh and all about Big Egos & Even Bigger Raincoats too, of course!

Patty hire or watch Trading Places, it is an excellent film. Edward Murphy's most special moment, alongside the legendary Daniel Ackroyd, Denholm Elliot and a girl.

George for someone who chooses to speak Portugese, and who lives near spain, you have certainly picked up English well. I cannot allow you to call me a 'wuss', far from it, I am at least a moderate lunatic.

I thought Frode was a girl?

Jamie Lee Curtis, yes, I couldn't think of her name. Well done. She is a great actress also with an ample.

For anyone who missed out on the Huntsman, there are many more classic episodes, but I love the bit in the middle when someone asks "Can we get back to the topic"

I tried to stay away from Huntsy and Patsy for quite a while - mainly cos I didnae have a fuckin scooby what they were banging on about. When I did join in - I was often left for days wondering what I was talking about.
