Scanned setlist here >> Lansdowne Road

Few NOOL'ers out for this one. Myself, Johnny G, Jim Reilly and Grahame F, who actually couldn't be arsed with the gig in the end! Respect. Didn't really miss much - band weren't bad, but there was Zero Atmos, due to the fact most of us got split up outside, and there was a restrictive moshpit down the front (entry only if you'd queued up early in the day to get a wristband. Er, why waste valuable drinking time?). So, got to see the band from 50 yards back. Not nice.

Hi-points probably (a) the complete breakdown of 60mph, which had to be restarted, and (b) Hooky's rant at some 'Fat C*nt' in the front row who'd obviously been throwing abuse.

Saw one Chilli Pepper song as we were making our way out of the venue to reconvene in town, so can't really comment on them!

Again, another good day out all in all.. .

al...sorry i never managed to contact you...but as i went with the missus we were doing the sights...this was always gonna be part of the deal...and when i suggested going to watch the footie with a load of blokes...well you can imagine....landsdowne road was pretty grim..audience didnt seem that bothered as you said and neither were the band....shame because its the first time i have seen them for a bit....we stayed for about half of the chillies set then fucked off to be nagged about paying all this money for tickets and not staying till the end...dublin is a top top place and with ryanair doing good deals it was well worth it..

remember the chilli peppers at reading in 99, v shit indeed, i can't understand their appeal whatsoever. i really hope they didn't get together to butcher New Dawn Fades. Great to hear Hooky getting aggro with someone, we've not seen him in a fight for a while! Did seem a bit strange for them to do this gig - Robbie Williams all over again.

why is everybody slagging the Red Hots??? They usually put on a very interesting show...at least the 2 times I saw them...I remember at Lollipoploser, they all had these huge fires coming from their heads...and flea is the second baddest bassist in the world....

Good to see you guys travelled over to the gig. I was up 'in the gods' & the sound was sh*t. Still even from there you couldnt miss Hooky's rock-god attitudes and Barney's crap uncle dancing. The atmosphere really wasent up to much but it was good to se many people leaving before the chillies came out - myself included. Now where can I get a bootleg!!!

For the record, Al, John Frusciante also came on stage with New Order and Moby when they performed New Dawn Fades in Los Angeles during the Area:One Festival.

I don't know about Stash but we were drinking 100 yards away from there Al, so I'm fucking jealous and gutted!!! I had been in The Clarence the previous afternoon for a snifter rock star spotting.

I am destined not to mingle. I am so unlucky. Oh, and yes, I was seriously upset when everyone (about 20 NO onliners) bar me and My mate Dean managed to get backstage.... Happy bunny? Definately not!! Still, these things happen...

Still, managed to meet Phil C in person by chance at Lansdowne Dublin just before the gig. Which was nice. ;)
