It depends on the day of the week really, somedays I feel like barneys a twat, others I think he's a genius. In context, I love them, then again with their future looking as bleak as star wars, I really cant say anymore. Though at the present time I find them amazing, until the cd hits "I told you so".

I was lucky, old enough to have been on my own for a while, but still young and rebellious when Sid Vicious and the rest of his mates came to Texas. San Antonio, their 2nd to last show ever sparked a hunger for new sounds. Joy Division and New Order provided the perfect musical bookends of the 1980's decade. They affected lifestyle, culture, and fashion (not that any of it rubbed off or they have any taste personally).

It was a great time to be young and a part of it as it unfolded. The 1990's saw the limitations of entrepreneurial endeavors with a record label, band, and night club. Internal unrest and bickering turned into solo projects and by the end of the century, a new generation found them cool but no longer essential. What they were stays perfect in my memory. I demand nothing further. I do though wonder when and what they will make of the extra 9 or so tracks left over from the WTFIIDH sessions. Everything changes and life moves on. It so special it was like water into wine. LEAVE ME ALONE and RUN stand eternal.

I was obsessed with them from 1983 to 1989 but since i discovered neworderonline i've gone right off them
