Really Interesting Bernard Sumner Interview

Not sure how many of you have seen this...

This is a really cool interview done with Bernard by Under the Radar in 2005.

It finds Barney in a friendly and chatty mood. There are a lot of interesting insights into the make of WFTSC, New Orders writing process, the proppsed WFTSC sequel...

And apparently New Order had actually planned on working with Brian Eno!

Just read the really cool interview. Its frustrating to hear about those 7 - 8 trax again already but never heard, makes you want them to release them more than ever now...pleeeeease

Great stuff, rare to read Bernard so candid. Interviewers were pretty annoying, mind.

New Order working with Eno - that one got dragged out everytime they recorded a new album. Pity it never came about.

It's just hard to understand how it could have deteriorated from such a great compromise..studio..jamming..shorter tours.

And despite the fact that I've not spoken to my old college mate for about 6 years now after an argument, Barney and Hooky with that much history together dating back to Salford Grammar...bloody shame.

What made me a little sad was the part about being wary of older complacent bands making boring records... hmmmnnn.
