A bird :angel2: crapped on my New Order T-shirt while it was hanging on the washing line today - it was the only item that got hit!

Anybody else had similar experiences with their New Order possessions?

No, I tend to keep winged creatures away from indoor objects.

I think in a fit of rage I grinded my cd of republic into the gravel outside. I couldnt take young offender, it just sparked a primal rage internally.

No one can beat me on this one: in 1994 I was in a mall and got me some "CD cleaner" liquid, and went home to test it on my recently bought The Other Two & You album (bright/silver sleeve - the bloody CD was unbelievably expensive to import at the time).

Results? The "product" simply MELTED OFF the surface of the disc, leaving only the transparent acrylic.

...And I had to import the US CD. Never cleaned any of my discs since.

Not so much damage, but losing a CD case full of the back catalogue still pisses me off to no end (some not legitimately purchased, but still..)...I had all 5 discs of Retro in it. :banghead:

Perhaps it will turn up, perhaps not, the fall remasters will help me rebuild the collection, and make Warner/Rhino a pretty penny too

how about a basement flood that destroyed my Run 2 12" along with other N.O. vinyl.

Next time, you should first try the CD cleaner out on a James Blunt CD first.

My roommate in college brought home a kitten. A couple months later I was listening to my True Faith 12". When I walked away, the damn cat jumped up on the furniture and started playing with the record as it spun around... effectively scratching the hell out of it...

Also had my truck broken into 5 years ago, and inside I hade my top 30 cds... many of which were NO cds.

Well I did a gig recently, and took my "portfolio" which I bought for NOOL Day,which you can fit 200 CDS in in plastic pages.I've still got all the New Order/Joy Division stuff in there, only someone spilt Red Bull on them all. Only recently managed to clean them all up,so they've not got sticky residue on them!:nonono:

A friend of mine, Stuart, deceided that my Republic Limited Run (the squiggy orange one) looked good enough to eat, so he tried to take a bite out of it. The booklet that was inside has still got his teeth marks in it :nonono:
