Ceremony UK 12" 3 versions?

Having bought the original, green sleeved release and the cream/blue sleeved re-recording pretty much on the days of release, I was astonished at the weekend to receive (from a friend) what to me, is an anomalous version. The gift was a green sleeved/green labeled 12" pretty close in every respect to the original UK version, but the vinyl itself is clearly a different pressing/mastering. I first noticed this when I put it on the turntable to check for flaws...and it plays the re-recorded version. Labels are identical in typographic content to the original. I then checked the matrix/pressing annotations and they are as follows..

A side: FAC33 A1 "THIS IS WHY EVENTS UNNERVE ME" B side: FAC33 B1 "HOW I WISH WE WERE HERE WITH YOU NOW"

There is no "TOWNHOUSE" reference as on the other 2 pressings and no "EG". There is however a faint scibble that looks like "DW" but it's not clear. I am not a New Order collector, so don't know if this is a rarity. Any info from you chaps would be welcome.

Many thanks for that (impressively) prompt response. Yes, confusing indeed. It doesn't really explain the remastering/matrix nomenclature, but, HEY, this IS Factory we're talking about! :-)

Yes this bloody confused me for years and it turned out that ALL my 12 inch copies are the SAME......covers and MATRIX different but nontheless my COLLECTION is STILL incomplete!And don't get me going AGAIN on FAC 53.I now find that EVERYTHING ISn't GREEN as this ONE is MISSING but TWO BLUE ones are here.

Well they kept these largely in print throughout the 80s, this usually meant that every now and again it would have to be re-cut (as the plates wear out). This usually means that there may be multiple slightly different cuts in circulation.
