First off I'd like to send all my  to the Lady known as Sophisticated;) Maria yer a star - The Shugster is totally made up:D

Received the video of the gig tonight when I got back from work, lovely jubbly!

Here's Part 1...

New Order come on to the stage, mumbling something about a football match;) You's all know the set-list :evil4:

Crystal, the sound was bloody terrible - and Barney, singing while dancing is not a good idea;) although his dancing is a joy to behold:nod: Not sure about the sunglasses - although as ever, he did look pretty cool, after the first verse Barney goes into a mad dance and falls on his arse - the camera catches it....and fuck me it's funny, Barney even sees the funny side of it as he gets up and scampers away from the camera with a cheeky grin, and continues laughing through the second verse:lol: Then Hooky's sound goes on his Bass, to which Barney laughs and gestures for it to carry on, we are treated to Bernardo Accapella - which was surprisingly good matey's:nod: Great opening for the gig! Transmission was absolutely fanfookintastic till Hooky throws in a few bum notes - which leads Barney to start laughing during the song again....priceless stuff! Regret was absolutely brilliant, no problems here, although the crowd seemed very subdued - over here you'd be severely struggling for breathing space due to the jumping and crushing at the front:lol: After Regret Barney treats us to "give us a minute.....we realise we have to be more professional and that we have to stay in tune with each other........and Steve" To which Mr Morris retorts with a comedy roll of his drums. Apparently 60 miles an hour "is about driving really fast" another classic from Barney:nonono:  The song starts and the crowd finally wake up a wee bit - spontaneous jumping up and down:nod: Even Phil's getting into it - you clearly see him singing along and dancing:D Atmosphere was good as well - even with Barney's "hey's" in between! Barney complaining between songs about the sound not filtering properly as well. Brutal starts off very shakily - but quickly builds itself back up, and while watching it - a shiver went through me just as the chorus started....honestly, fookin great stuff:thumb: This is where I left it, to come and share it with everyone - I'll finish the gig off tomorrow......I know, I know.......I'm a lucky bastard:D Mr Jarvo & Co - wish I'd have been there, cos what I've seen so far has been fantastic:nod: Thanks once again to the lovely Maria :rolling: :D

Hultsfred Part 2

She's Lost Control..."featuring Stephanie Morris on Drums, Pierre Hook on Bass and Phil Cunnilingus on geetar" Great version of this classic track, although the problem with the sound system is beggining to annoy me. Bizarre Love Triangle..."It's all about when Peter our Bass player met Phil in prison, and they shared a cell with someone called Big Daddy. BLT is about what went on in that cell......Big Daddy's over there, behind the computer, he's called Roger" Barney really is most amusing at times:lol: As fer the song itself, another good performance, with Barney kneeling and praying while singing those lines - the Barney 2 step is out in force again......brilliant! Just before True Faith, another Barney special...."We're trying really hard to give you a good time, cos we know you've been stood in the pissing rain all day....but I believe from all the porno's in our hotel, yer very keen on pissing on each other (mumbles and a bit of laughter from the crowd).....but if there's anyone who wants to piss on Phil at the end of the show......please come backstage" The song itself sounded really good, you can hear added effects at the start of the funky jazz version:nod: Temptation...what can I say? what a fuckin intro - the band sound really good - Hooky's bass is great, and Barney is really spitting out the words....brilliant stuff....1 2 3 4;) LWTUA is great as well - the crowd are beggining to enjoy themselves again, Steve's drums on this one are particularly splendid:nod: During the song both Barney and Hooky telling the crowd to "Come On!" Phil looking relaxed at the keyboards "This is Blue Monday I believe......It's fuckin crap innit?" The sound actually comes back a bit - which makes the song stand out - after a few dodgy notes at the start - the song sounds as good as it ever has done.....honestly peeps! World In Motion....oh how I sang along with this one:lol: Barney goes Dancetastic again, Damon does his rapping, when Barney joins back in after the Rap - he's seriously, saeriously outa key fer the rest of the song - probably due to being out of breath from all that fuckin dancing:nod: The show ends with KW1 - Barnstormer if you'll forgive the pun;) Prefer this to close the show from "The Obvious One";) Cracking version, and as Jarvo said in his review, Hooky was sat on the front of the stage for the start of this one - didn't detract from his playing - love the rumbling Bass on this song! Overall the sound did spoil the gig a wee bit, but the bands enthusiasm more than made up fer it - lets hope for more of the same (but a longer and slightly different set list:lol: ) in MANCHESTAAAH :D

I just heard the show for the first time!

I rolled on the floor throughout!!!!! Barney was funnier than ever!!!!

And what about Hooky singing alone, accapella, at the end of World in Motion, not wanting to stop? hahaha!

Excellent show!

BY THE WAY, two questions:

1 - Who the h*ll kept teasing Bernard throughout the show by taking a low voice and saying "My name's Bernard" ???

2 - Who is that Damon dude who's rapping on World in Motion?

S.

P.S. I just saw your videotape comment for the first time Shugsy and I need to make sure that you know who you sent that tape to!!!!! IT'S NIC, NOT ME!!!!!! :)

I remember Barney saying "My name's Bernard" in a low voice - this is meant to be an impression of Bernard Manning a Mancunian comedian. If you've not heard of him, hmm, Shug do you wanna explain?. Lets just say he's not very PC!

As an example (& for anyone easily offended please turn away now) of Mr Manning's repertoire -

Heard about the Jewish Kamikaze pilot?
He crashed into his brothers scrapyard.

Not the sharpest tool in the box is he? & not sure why Barney was mimicking him at Hulfstred either.
