I've just donwloade LWTUA in Roskilde, thanks to Jim "The Him", and I'm wondering : who's yelling "come ons" all the time ?

It doesnt' sound like Barney or Hooky's voices...

Or is it Barney ?

I know Barney likes to whoooop but this is really annoying... :nonono:

Funnily enough, I found myself humming this to myself yesterday and noticed I'd even added in the C'MON'S(!) meself. They're catching!

Think it's mostly Barney though, isn't it?, with Hooky continuing with the A-gain line! Blimey, I can even picture Barney punching the air and stamping his foot as he does it!

I guess what can work in a live situation, when you're there, doesn't necessarily work when you have to just listen to it...

At Paris Olympia, Barney yelled 'c'mon' as well, and at the same time in the song! Maybe it's become part of the lyrics? :nonono:

But I have the impression it has never been worse than at the end of the song here...

I just wish they wouldn't do it anymore. They've massacred what used to be a beautiful and poignant song, turning it into a dodgy punk band karaoke version. That was the lowlight of Paris to me.

I don't know. I think it is very rousing and one of the best songs they do now live.

I agree with you. Their live version of LWTUA is briliant :jump:. Barney's yelling is a pity, but at least it doesn't spoil the song as his whooping does in Atmosphere (they should really stop playing this one :nonono: ).

It's not the whoops which get me it's the way he now SHOUTS or perhaps BARKS the lyrics of Close Range out. Bloody hilarious. I think Johnny G coined this the 'Tourette Syndrome Mix' in Australia, and Barney seems to have continued 'singing' it in a similar vain.
