Solar Eclipse

Liam - this thread is about the solar eclipse that will occur tomorrow.

A total eclipse will be observed in north Canada, over the Arctic, Siberia and western Mongolia, then end in when the sun sets in eastern China.

The sun will be darkest at about 1030.

The moon will be heated up so much during the eclipse that it is expected to crack into two, roughly equal pieces. The last time this happened was in 1943, when three sections of moon were formed and flew around separately until some Americans went up with ropes and some moon glue and got the mother back together.

Damn that moon. Big-faced moon, which is over 249 years old, has a big face that stoned people love to look at.

Americans, because they care, repaired the Moon in the early 70s during several trips, after the cracks appeared in 1943 when Hitler fired missiles to destroy the Earth's Moon. This was the whole and only point of the NASA space programme. Luckily the Moon held together until then and did not split totally apart, the eclipse story is just the cover lie, because millions worldwide would have surrendered if they knew that Hitler could blow up the Moon. D-Day was to divert Hitler's resources from destroying the moon with nuclear missiles to protecting his arse on the western front.

I dont much take a liking to space, the last time I honestly thought of Space, I remembered Starship Troopers. What this has to do with your post, is absolutely nothing, though i'm glad I contributed.
