You've not heard from them because the dead cannot talk. NO are no more. Hooky plays CD's
Barney's probably gonna produce another bag of wank like Electronic (which I can tolerate provided he doesn't fucking rap).
Steve and Barney also believe that they can continue as NO (if they choose), without hooky......Boss, Boss, Ze PLAAANE eeees coming ze plaaaane eees coming.

Perhaps. Are you fit?
Gotta help out my fellow Canadian!
I'm sure if you look around this site or http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_order you can get some info but here is a quick rundown of recent events as I know they get little coverage in North America
- New Order have “split up” as of last year..there is confusion to this as Hooky has definitley left and insists the band cannot continue with the name..Bernard and Stephen have said they will continue with the name
- They last toured together in 2006 with various shows in the UK,Europe, North America and South America http://www.neworderonline.com/Live/ConcertList.aspx?BandID=1&Year=2006
- They recently released a dvd from the tour called Live in Glasgow which also features amazing footage from older tours http://www.amazon.ca/New-Order-Live-Glasgow/dp/B0019579Z4/ref=pd_sim_b?ie=UTF8&qid=1218446470&sr=1-1
- Hooky has a side project called Freebass..he also DJ around the world promoting the Hacienda name which he still owns
- Bernard has a side project called Bad Lieutinent and also was the subject of a book by David Nolan http://www.amazon.ca/Bernard-Sumner-Confusion-David-Nolan/dp/0955282268/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1218446470&sr=1-1
- Stephen (and Gillian) have done the odd tv soundtrack/remix work
- A recent critically acclaimed film called "Control" starring Sam Riley was released earlier this year based on the life of Joy Divison's Ian Curtis http://www.amazon.ca/Control-Anton-Corbijn/dp/B00104AYGU/ref=pd_bxgy_d_img_b?ie=UTF8&qid=1218446470&sr=1-1
- A documentary title "Joy Divison" has also been release which featured interviews from Bernard, Hooky and Stephen http://www.amazon.ca/Joy-Division-Grant-Gee/dp/B00104AYGA/ref=pd_bxgy_d_img_b?ie=UTF8&qid=1218446470&sr=1-1
- Factory label head Tony Wilson died of kidney cancer in Aug 2007
Hope this helps!

Standards are slipping. When I was a mere FNG here, pages could go past with not a scrap of on topic UI (useful information, as defined by the Scary Devil Monastary).

Er. FYI: The UK is actually considered to be part of Europe. ![]()

Oh...I don't know about that...I lumped the UK in with Europe once, and it seemed to offend several of our English members...

Oh...I thought there was a lot of cynicism in the brevity of your answer, but I quite possibly misread your tone.

Perhaps, you can try being a bit more friendly to newbies..you don't know how frustrating it is for people in North America to find info about New Order..I'm glad the mates I've made on here don't have those superfan attitudes and are always helpful when I've asked questions ![]()
They could just look on Wikipedia.
why is it so difficult for North Americans anyway? they've got the Internet just like everybody else.

No its not, its fucking pathetic. I'd expect it of dungeon and dragons "warriors" or trainspotters, but not New Order fans.
