Why in Hedes would our man Mozz need to tour with ANYONE? And New Order? They suck! My teacher likes New Order! Oh well, at the very least, if they were to come up to Montreal, I would have SOMEONE to see Morrissey with!!! I can pretend to like New Order, and get an A+...... Ok... A-.. I cant act all that well ;-)

According to a friend of mine who works for Ctrax Live, this is indeed true. There will either be a split show with Moz and New Order playing equal sets, or there will be two opening bands. These will either be Catatonia, The Chameleons, Super Furry Animals, Ours, or My Vitriol. The announcement is set to take place mid-October. Anonymous -- Thursday September 06 2001, @01:17PM (#22)

I found these posts when looking to see if the rumors had spread to Mozz's legions. The post about the teacher was particularly funny with Liv and the Canadian alliance. I would love to see the Smith's on stage but another Morrissey show would send me over the edge.

Those messages come from Morrissey-Solo.com by the way.

I prefer to believe the Echo/Bunnymen rumor...maybe they would do Ceremony then.

Huntsman, have you tried Terra brand Salt and Pepper chips? They use Yukon Gold potatoes so there's a great potato flavor lingering beneath the perfect blend of salt and pepper. no messy fingers.

And who the hell is that person referring to MONTREAL? Quite odd that you would choose that quote (taking for granted that NewOrderOnline is hosted in Montreal).

Yeah, i read further on Morrissey-Solo forums and the person responsible for that quote has some pretty bad taste. i think he/she must be very young and fond of MTV style rock. I chose that particularly for the teacher/canadian reference knowing the connections to Neworderonline. What about this rumor though? The morrissey site suggests he may have an album ready to release this fall if he could only find a record deal. I first heard this on Ceremony and moaned out loud. This sounds like a bad idea to me.

Brian - your talk of such polished crisps seems like the stuff of legends. What a unique and intriguing combination of saturated fats and splendid flavours. Alas, my local emporium does not stock such wonders, without driving for miles, I have to make do with, and I quote 'fair to middling' style crisps with a lacklustre approach to life. Why, twas only the other day that the supermarket ran clean out of Pringles Light, which made watching the England match a filthy event.

Crisps that leave no messy fingers... you are a tease.

Jesus no...not the master of being miserable...I saw Morrissey once, and that was one fooking time too many. The Smiths were great, but by himself...please tell me that this is just an ugly rumor...

I think this is really a strange rumour. NO and Moz hate each other. Morrissey said that Barney was a bad songwriter and that he could not understand how Marr could work with him. And Barney answered that the Boy With A Thorn On Its Side was one of his all time favourite track but that the vocals are shite. And i dont really feel comfortable with the idea of NO and Morrissey touring together. To me, it sounds too much like a marketing idea : "Come on and see the 2 most important groups of the 80's !!!!". New Order would sing "Blue Monday" and "BLT" and Moz "There Is A Light That Never Goes Out" and "This Charming Man". I think it's important (at least for me) that NO play tracks from their new album during their shows. Cos id like them to show that they are still relevant (even though they 45) and that their music sound is still very actual, that they are not only a part of some kind of stupid 80's nostalgia (should i buy the Ladytron album by the way????). Do you see what i mean? Dont get me wrong. I would love to hear them playing "Ceremony", "Temptation" or "Perfect Kiss". But i would be just as happy if they play "Turn My Way" (even without BC), "Primitive Notion" (I hope, they will!!!) or even "Behind Closed Doors" (I am totally addicted to this song now). But i have to admit that if ever this NO/Moz rumour was true and if i had the chance to see them, id definitely buy a ticket!
