hey everybody, i am in the process of setting up my own art business, it's a painful process but hopefully my website will be up soon! i'm new to the site so i'm really sorry if this is not allowed but....

i have just completed a huge IAN CURTIS painting.

it is 123.4 cm X 167.3cm. pen/acrylic/charcoal on canvas.

The ONE-OFF original painting will be on sale in the near future.

Meanwhile i am having one hundred limited edition, signed and numbered A2 OR A3 prints made from the original.

These will take around 2/3 weeks to complete.

If anyone is interested please email me at.....

sweetjayne_art@yahoo.co.uk

and i will keep you informed about where and when the prints will be ready and on sale.

hope you like it.

I like the way you mixed mediums, use of positive/negative space and balance. Good first post, I'd like to see more of your work... :thumb:

The paintings look great but is there a copyright issue here?

I seem to remember that someone got into a spot of bother back in the mid 80s for doing this exact same thing. The only difference then was that the pictures were being advertised in the NME.

Any idea who took the original photo?

It is and very moody. I wouldn't have room to put a full size print (although at that size, it would look fantastic).

Have you thought of doing postcard size prints for those of us who live in teeny tiny houses?

I like it too...I'm sure it looks even better in person. It would look great in my office/craft room/exercise room...it's already cramped but I could make room!

That is very cool...
