I noticed this great site does not have the lyrics for Warning Sign, that excellent Electronic b-side. I would like to give my version so you could put it on the lyrics page. any comments? please make them! here we go:

they just took a random (?) it would appear that we don´t agree and without warning the sign has stop just the time when you´re right straight in front of me well I don´t listen to the rumours and I don´t care who you have for tea I think you´re fine and if we could miss the crime at the end of the book you´ll see

I think one reason why Bernard not should visit the site, is because of your terrible lyrics section! Look, I'm Dutch, but even I can hear that the lyrics of Warning sign are different!!! You stupid.... archchchchch!!!!! THIS are the correct first lines! I'm angry because Bernard can write such good lyrics, en you english fans can even not hear what he is singing!!! Terrible!

"thanks for calling me stupid, Maartje. :( look, i´m not english and i have a hard time trying to understand barney´s pronounciation. that mancunian accent he has.... but as he never published his lyrics i think they´re open to interpretation. and i really don´t think he´d be angry about that. see, when you write a lyric and you make a song with it that lyric automatically stops being yours and starts being of everyone who listen to it. that includes its original meaning. i think you put your own experiences on the table, the particular time of life you´re living in, your relationships, etc. so you could understand it quite differently from the original feelings the songwriter had at the time he wrote that lyrics. is 1963 a story about JFK? is it about an imaginary girl? is it about barney telling an homosexual story of his life? or is it about something else? i think everyone has their own explanation about it. same thing with all the other songs. and finally let me tell you a secret. nobody can understand 100% a lyric just because nobody but barney knows why he wrote it. it´s in barney´s head. we´re just antennas, aerials trying to get his message whatever it may be. and if it touches us deeply it means barney´s job was well done. no matter what you understood. and that´s called art."
