IAN CURTIS ARTORK FOR SALE

There is an item in Bonham's forthcoming Urban Art auction based on an image of Ian Curtis.

The title is 'You must come over (Ian Curtis)'

estimate £2k - £3k

I have spotted Ian Curtis graffiti around Spitalfields London but not sure it is by this artist

£2-3k for a bad stencil on a cardboard box of an over used Kevin Cummins pic?

Not only does this look like a bad high school art project, but the people on the website have the nerve to put a copyright on it when the image in the artwork was stolen from a professional photograph.

It's a bit depressing seeing Ian's image falling into the hands privileged "culturally hip" money mongers looking to exploit it for all it's worth. Somewhere down the line we'll see Ian's sad face gazing from behind the glass of a smoke shop plastered on the side of a bong right alongside Che Guevara, Jim Morrison and Kurt Combain.

I couldn't see what it said on the stool leg.

I had to turn the laptop on its side and pull it closer to my face.

As I did, I thought 'its going to say "LOVE WILL TEAR US APART, isn't it..."

Imagine my surprise when it did.

I'd like to kick this "artist"'s fucking cunt in.
