The Sex Education of Stephen Morris

The Sex Education of Stephen Morris News comes in that New Order drummer Stephen Morris has been collaborating with Liverpool up-and-comers Sex Education on their forthcoming debut LP, which is being produced by Roger Lyons (of the much-missed Lionrock).

Sex Education's Chris Ward explains to Cerysmatic: "When we first started recording a track called 'Regret It All' we wanted live drums on it but didn't have a drummer at the time (we do now!). Roger suggested Steve, who he knows from doing live sound and collaborations with New Order over the years. Steve has kindly done some awesome live drumming on the track, as well as a few extra loops and surprises."

Check Sex Education out here. The band also have live dates coming up including Night & Day in Manchester on 28 October, and a free show at Korova in Liverpool 3 November.

Aye, I got friend request on Myspace from them. Noticed they're on in Manchester on Tuesday, might have a wander down.

Sounds pretty good...look forward to the album.

I've played them on my show for http://www.dandelionradio.com, and they've given me early previews of their tracks - they did promise me a session, but it's yet to materialize.
