Howdo.

I just managed to bag a copy of the NO Tribute 10" promo.

Basically,is the tribute mix an official warner promo, allegedly limited to 100 copies,or is a bootleg?

Niagra lists it just as a promo with just a cat no : pro15496A.

The copy i have has pro15496A on the run out, but, the press release says that " this is an ultra-limited promo-only bootleg of the forthcoming New order single waiting for the sirens call.

Help would be mucho apprevciated.

Where the devil is Mr ivarsson when you need him?

It's definitely official - it was going to be released on the b-side of the next single (Turn - which never happened)...

What'd you pay for it, Nut Merchant?

Certainly official and commissioned by the band. Recall Hooky talking it up in an interview at the time.

Which is a slightly different mix to the one on the 10" if I remember right.

Which means to me, that I was in a specific time at the right place, when I bought 3 items of it from a bargain in the internet, and 2 of them are still unplayed!

Slightly different is good... The CD has 7:59 mins, the 10" has 7:09 mins of lenght. But how does it come? If you get rid of the part between 5:03 and 5:31 of the CD version and fade it out 22 seconds earlier, then you got the 10" version. Good luck to the mixers! :shades:
