They really know what they are doing that team. Sometimes a blast of Ceremony or LWTUA while Jezza screeches round the track is the icing on the cake. I swear I heard 'Dead Souls' on last weeks episode.

exactly my reaction too, they do feature on the show a lot, which is why i was surprised they didn't appear on the competition for the best driving music they did last year, but when i mentioned it on here i got shot down in flames.
Top Gear certainly has taken on a bit of indie cred recently.
Last Sunday's episode not only had JD but the mighty Mogwai and The Cinematic Orchestra.

I seem to hear a LOT of the bands I like used as background tunes, and oddly I also have a passion for TV-themes, their must be something worthy of study there, but I can't be arsed

back to your previous post though, you're not alone in liking themes, I love the old tomorrows world themes, all up until mid 80's when they went a bit S,A&W style, the 70's jazzy one is great, and the early 80's with the vocal sound is cool. also like News round theme and strangely a lot of sitcom stuff, realy wind people up at work whistling terry and june, waltons, bonanza bewitched (which is very similar to blind date) and blockbusters (ed welch is a tv theme god).
I've completely nerded myself out, so i'm off to watch heroes.

New Order has always been featured on Top Gear. Almost every track from Get Ready was used in some way back when the album was "fresh." Especially the Crystal intro. But it was the first time I heard JD on it.

True, i remember Top Gear in the 90s hearing Eagles and the Doobie Brothers, now we're getting F*ck Buttons and Aphex Twin, i reckon it's James May, seems like an arty cove.
