Dear All,

I am organising a Charity Event this Sunday at Rolls Royce Social in Barnoldswick, Lancashire in aid of Bosom Friends Cancer Group (Charity No. 1085911), who have helped me greatly over the last 12 months, after my wife passed away losing her 3 year battle to Hodgkins Disease. I have been in constant communication with Fletch, who has managed to organise a signed bass guitar from the main man himself. We are picking up the guitar today in person, we will also take a picture of Hooky with guitar to prove its authenticity. The guitar will being put in our local auction on Sunday, with all proceeds going to local charity. This is a stunning gesture from Peter, i am sure you will agree.

As there are many New Order fans out there, Fletch (close friend of Peter and is the contact for him), recommended that it would be right to advertise this on neworderonline, so that everybody has a chance to bid on the item. The auction will be at 7pm on sunday, you can contact me on my mobile on the night on 07901984319, if you would like to bid. If not, you can e-mail me on:- david@mason007.freeserve.co.uk and let me know what price you would like to go up to and we can bid for you. Also if anybody wants to offer us a reasonable amount for the guitar, we could accept and prevent it actually going in the auction. The only downside is that whoever wins will have to come and pick it up, as I would not like to put something like this through the postal system.

I will also put the photograph of the guitar on, as soon as I can, so you can see it. Hope you all might consider on bidding, as it is for a great cause and it is not often such a stunning piece of New Order memorbrilia comes up for grabs.

Thankyou in advance to everyone.

Kind Regards

David

I know what its like to lose a close one to cancer and want to wish you the best of luck for the charity event. I hope you raise lots of money for such a worthy cause. Good on Hooky to help out too. Sorry I dont have the funds to make a bid for guitar.

Now have the guitar, so here are the pictures:-

The bass guitar is signed by Peter Hook, with the message:-

"This will take you to the stars" signed Peter Hook JD/NO8 It is also signed on back stating Peter Hook Manchester. He has used the guitar since 2006, really nice Yamaha bass guitar in blue. The pictures are with Peter with guitar and then the guitar itself:-

Please e-mail me on: david@mason007.freeserve.co.uk and I will e-mail you the pictures, as I haven't worked out how to put them on here yet.

Regards

Dave
