Out of curiousity, how would you like to listen to Turn My Way, but instead of Billy Corgan, it would be Hooky on vocals?
I'd be curious to listen to that, too bad they didn't even try TMW when Corgan left them, as I still think that is the outstanding track of Get Ready.. (you all know that, but I like repeating myself, I'm getting old!)
Just like Rock The Shack was better in the Lamacq sessions when Barney was the only one singing...
I think it would've been great! I wish Hooky had ONE song on the album where he did vocals, preferably main vocals. I'm hoping for their next album Hooky will get some opportunities.
I have never been able to see the appeal of Turn My Way, it's one of the poorest things they have ever done IMHO. Having Corgan sing part of it was just getting a name involved so it might sell a few copies in the States - same with Gillespie on Rock The Shack. Their contributions were negligible, but at least ensured some reviews in the US bullshit magazines.
... which magazine specifically? (the United Chicken?)
Turn My Way one of their worst efforts? - are your ears made of plasticine? or turkey excrament?
Hooky's vocals best remain in his larynx and not on recorded material. Corkscrew and the other boy performed well on the album, and I can't see a cynical opportunity to sell in the US if Turn My Feet never even got released?

One of me most memorable Norder experiences. Just 18 years old, all going off big stylee down the front, they'd just played [catch breath] Touched, BLT, Perfect Kiss, Ceremony [release breath], and so you're fuct, and you're thinking, "Thank god it's the slow stuff next!" and then they played bloody ... Dreams ... Never ... End.
A memory I shall hold till me grave.. .

Would Jarvo be so kind as to honor us with what he considers to be his favorite ever NO gig? Based on the fact he has probably attended more gigs than NO themselves (at least one NO member must have been ill one night or unable to attend whereas El Jarvo is present without fail - assuming an ale is in evidence to consume) who better to declare which gig beats all others in terms of atmosphere, sound quality and songs played and played well? ... come on Jarvo, your public awaits!
I haven't had anyone doubt my citing that G-Mex '88 was the best for all of the right reasons; top songs, heart stopping (literally) sound, legendary line-up (Happy Moon Creatures, ACRationale etc.) ... but Wembley Arena '87, Brixton Academy (the video event), Old Trafford a few weeks back ... come on Al ...
