hello,

i'm making a "companion" cd to "get ready" with the b-sides and remixes from 2000 and up. i'm using the artwork from the crystal single to make the cd artwork. i would like to find a good name for the cd -- something that fits well with "get ready". i had some pretty crappy ideas "got ready" "crystalised". maybe some of you have a better suggestion. anyone?

ohhhh...can anyone help me identify (and locate) the font used on the "get ready" cd. i want to make the b-sides cd look very similar.

The currently accepted Huntmanism is Grrrready! but you would have to ask his estate for permission.

Cheers!, but no, my version was always 'Getting Things Ready' with the 'Gggrrready' incarnation (a better one) penned by one of my esteemed colleagues.

Incidentally, I have just compiled a similar set of broken biscuits and entitled the CD (i.e. the one's they should have selected for a best hits release - which included several off GR) 'Real Substance'. Which I'm sure has been used before but not that I can recall.

A comedy version could always be called 'New Order's Greatest Hits' with an asterix denoting the actual chart position for added humor.

Which font were you looking for, the handwritten or sans serif one? ... do you use a Mac or are you a little eccentric?

Get Greedy.

Put in two remixes from Crystal and you have your 80 min CDR done.

why don't you call it "how to ruin a brilliant album with using the best songs as b-sides and leaving Slow Jam and Rock the Shack in" ???

That's a bit too long a title Marco....how would he fit it on the cover of a CD? ;)

"Good times around the corner"? maybe:thumb:

hello again,

thanks for the suggestions, i loved that long ass one, but as mentioned, it wouldn't fit on the sleeve. i'm still contemplating -- nothing has really struck me as "that's it!".

in regards to the fonts, i'm looking for both (the scribble font and the serif font), if they exist. i'm not on a mac; i have a pc.

by the way, here is the tentative tracklisting (in no particular order). it fits barely on 80 minutes. not bad, eh? (or am i missing something vital?)

60 Miles An Hour (Supermen Lovers Remix) Behind Closed Doors Brutal Crystal (Ara Simonian Mix) Crystal (Digweed & Muir Bedrock Radio Edit) Here To Stay (Felix Da Housecat - Thee Extended Glitz Mix) Here To Stay (Full Length Vocal) Player In The League Sabotage Such A Good Thing Temptation '98 Touched By The Hand Of God (Touched By The Hand Of BIAS) True Faith '01 (Morel's Pink Noise Mix) True Faith '01 (Philip Steir Re-Order Mix)

The main typeface is part of the Helvetica family - I had thought it was one of the Chalet font collection but not now...As for the "handwriting" thing - that's anyones guess...

I have compiled a similar CD, and gave it the rather pissy title of "Get Set"... CTB :bear:
