Popped in there with my good lady after seeing KEANE,only place that didn't have a queue 10 deep to get in.What's going on? It was like the weekday Hacienda circa 1984. There were hardly anyone in. Got live bands on now on Saturdays,but it wasn't a patch on last time I went in.
They're advertising for Manchester bands. But what about bands with a hint of the old MADCHESTER? Will? Mr Facsmilie,Mr Reilly Mr Reilly? Mr Norton?
It's a shyte hole these days, whose only conection with its past is the name but whats more worrying is that you admitted you went to see KEANE.

Nostalgia might not be what it used to be, but the toilets in Dry are still keeping the faith. I was sick down there after too much of a good thing in 1990-odd and I'll swear it was still there on the floor when Me and GV got pissed in there before Christmas.
Kelly's work is still the bizz though, and I love the place for what it was - to me and to the scene, maaan. Shit bogs though. They always were.
