Sink Or Swim

As much as the songs been maligned, I find it to be musically more interesting then most of NO's final output. The song beats most WFTSC songs in melody, and lyrics. And is a welcome replacement to songs with no rhyme or reason off Get Ready. As someone pointed out, the second guitar sounds like a Hooky bassline, and I think thats why I feel it would've been a lovely New Order song. Anticipating the final version, with Steve, and some synths. Any one else have some sort of similar feeling?

Thank you for the reply! And you bring up alot of good points. Sadly, in the glory days of NO, I wasn't even born. Therefore, this is their current legacy, broken and bitter. So I'll take anything NO related.

i was just thinking that listening to radio 1 and xfm, even the dreadful stuff by NO such as Rock the Shack beats vast majority of music the play on the radio,

unless they are playing echo, chameleons or JD until Rev 96.2 comes back all hope is hanging on Bad Loot stuff

Ah, I get what you are saying now. I guess we'll see with time what Freebass and Bad Lt bring to the table.

Some of you guys are desperate, I doubt much of the world is terribly excited. Bernard has more often been criticized for his bland songwriting in the 2000s. And Sink or Swim sounds like other recent songs, rather trite wordplay without much emotion. When did he become a genus songwriter who can do no wrong?

Hopefully Bernard will be inspired and energized with a new record. Wait and see what comes of this odd sounding project.

will somebody please tell Barney all his songs now are lyrically the same. i think senility may have kicked in.
