Went to the Doves concert last night, and they did damn good concert.
The warm-up, warm-up band called Pop Nior did a Cover of Temptation (for a tribute to Rob), as I must say it was pretty darn good (except that the bassist took a break from actually playing Hooky's part to sing, so the bass parts were recorded) The singer actually sung it better than Bernard live
Drummer did good, but can't compare to Steve.
the official warm-up band was terrible, but didn't catch their name.
For the Doves, I was expecting some other song tribute, but only thing they did was mention that they were dedicating the concert to Rob. Only beef I had is that there were a disproportionate amount of songs from Last Broadcast (their worst album) and only one from Lost Souls. But they were spot on. The drummer is about amazing... I thought they had gone to a drum machine for parts when i listened to the cds, didn't realize it was actually the drummer banging out those notes. Fucking AMAZING.![]()
