a) 'Much too young'! b) 4 times in total: Reading 89, 93, 98 and Finsbury 02
a) the very first time I saw Joy Division in concert was in my living room after I picked up the FACT 37
b) first New Order show was April 21, 1989 in Houston, TX. Second show was the next night, back here in Dallas...
and answering those other ones that were added in...I saw Revenge the one and only time they played in Dallas, and never saw the other two...(god, I am sooooo witty!!!)
a) never saw Joy Division
b) Middlesbrough Rock Garden November 1981.
I was only 14 then and still heavily into ska, Oi!, punk and psychobilly an' stuff like that.... but tagged along with a few older mates who WERE Joy Division fans. Eventually I was converted.

The reason the ticket is still whole, and not just a stub, is that when I arrived a bloke wearing a laminated pass whisked me off down to the dressing room because "Barney wants to borrow a New Order shirt to wear tonight". Alas, being only a skinny 15 year old, the Factus8 one I was wearing wasn't going to fit, so I was dispatched back into the venue. He eventually came on stage in a Psychic TV one.

i saw JD division when i was -6 years old...looking down from the clouds. great show, but they looked really tiny:(
Of course I've never seen Joy Division (gee, I was 6 when Ian commited suicide!), and I've only seen the Order in 1993 in Toronto...
A.) First saw JD on a friend's computer, he downloaded the "Something Else" performance of SLC
B.) Countless times I've seen their videos, but Taras Shevchenko was the first live concert I saw of theirs.
a/ University Of London Student Union, Feb 1980. My cousin took me - I was 13, but 6 foot tall, so I lied about my age and said I'd lost my S.U. card. My cousin had his from Liverpool, so we blagged it. 
b/ Tolworth Recreation Centre - Kingston Polytechnic S.U. ball. Said I was Barney's little brother, paid my pound and walked in. Don't know if they believed me... 
Never see 'J-D' but had plenty of dreams about seeing them.
Hammersmith Palais-85' for 'N-O' loved it and never looked back from there on. Remember Barney saying something about 'knowing when you've made it & tonight they had' then playing 'Ceremony'
a) The 'Here are the young Men' video b) Hull Tower 10th March 1982. Still have the press cutting review from the Hull Daily Mail toilet paper moaning about the fact they did an encore - a 20+ minute version of ultraviolence - during which the band left one by one leaving hooky and then just the drums machines. Most people missed the encore because the last buses from the town centre left at 10.30 and NO ran over that time. Have got some great pictures from the gig which I may post (may scan the review aS well) somewhere including one of Gillian in a rather short skirt. I had hair then as well.

Bummer 'bout that Kimberly. :( I think, technically, if you were living in Boise when they played at the Gorge, you were a bit closer to the event than I was, but that's just thinking off of the top of my head, with no research.

Fucking hell, you're kidding!!! Obviously not. We passed that accident too. Really put the shit up my girlfriend's brother, coz he'd offered to pick us up and had only passed his test the week before.

Yeah, seeing DM later tonight and he mentioned something about get clocked himself at that gig - think he said someone took offence at him poncing around with his Access All Areas pass on down the front!
There's some story about him bringing a Kraftwerk t-shirt for Barney to wear at Heaven shortly after, but he wouldn't wear that one.. He's got a helluva lot of stories!

Talking to DM 'bout this on Friday, he said that he was in a car behind the one that rolled. Both his car & Hooky's pulled over to check if the passengers were ok. This geezer crawls out of the wreck, sees Hooky, gives him a big thumbs up & says 'great gig'!.

Haha - Barney left after about 5 mins of the encore - it sounds like it was just Hooky after about ten mins !
