Now that we've discovered one of Jarvo's hidden talent  (see the book thread in the general chat forum) and I was just thinking about something.

When you "subscribe" to NewOrderOnline, there is a question if you wish to receive a newsletter or not. Old members know that I might have sent 2 newsletters since the opening and that's it.

Mostly I've done this to announce contests and major changes to the site.

I've never really done what I wanted, especially because I'm not that good in english writing, and that I wasn't inspired.

But the main goal of the thing would be to send the latest news that we have, the latest site news, and possibly some editorial content.

There is MANY threads here that would be good editorial content for that newsletter, in starting a chat, like "Are New Order still revelent?" and others.

I would gladly like to distribute such a newsletter once a month, but to do that, I'd need help.. I'd need people willing to contribute and gather material.

Myself, I will provide the HTML formatting and sending of the newsletter.

Basically, this is just a gathering of articles any contributour would like to do, so you'll be able to say you were "published", and of course, they will be online too.

If anyone's old enough to remember the NOISE fanzine, this is exactly what I'd like to do, in fact it will be NOISE (New Order Information SErvice) since we had an agreement with Andrea Lum the former editor.

So, any people really interested? In fact you just have to write an article about either the band, your gig experience or any other related subject (the site too!).

Any input and ideas are welcomed of course!

Excellent idea, and perhaps an ideal opportunity to put together many pics and reviews of the recent and not so recent gigs. I have yet to develop my film from MOVE but will gladly submit any pics and anything else of interest to the newsletter... :D

Happy to contribute articles, reviews, etc. like the stuff I did for 'Go' Magazine - where DID that go in the end?

Well, I always fashioned myself as the next Paul Morley, so.....

That JD/NO fanzine that I contributed to a few months back finally came out, with my three pieces thrown in. I guess you could say I'm a published author now, so I'd be ahppy to contribute anything if this gets off the ground.

Keep in mind, this is an electronic fanzine... nothing published on paper.. so it's easy to release it.

The only thing I actually need is content.. !!

Oops, forgot to reply on that one.

Well, Nina NEVER wrote back and, of course, she never sent the promised magazines.

*SIGH*
